Dude? bro? you got me addicted to this game .... hell with Hearthstone lol

Thank you so much! I've won my 5th game in a row using this deck!

+MTGGoldfish welp .... the deck i've made wasn't bad, record on this deck is 12-7, feels like i'm missing something but don't know what, it's like an itch I can't scratch.
Patrick Allen (1 month ago)
+MTGGoldfish had you ever tried taking out that elf *Mana 1* with Divine *Mana 1 for +1+3* ? i'm thinking on trying that 1, I love to switch things around a bit, I'll get back to you if it goes well.

Seth is awesome but this was a great change of pace! Plus I love this series idea!

TIL you can craft cards that you don't have
zyron999 (1 month ago)
The non-auto-tapping is just painful. Makes the games take so much longer for 0 reason so far... If the point of these videos is grind-to-win, shouldn't you do everything you can to make it faster?
Francisco Matias (1 month ago)
i love this series.

We do have a scarecrow lord and it's one of the better tribal commanders in EDH: Reaper King, yo.
samuraiwarrior87 (1 month ago)
There is a scarecrow lord just not in standard reaper king
Marc Klein (1 month ago)
Entertaining and explanatory without a lot of boring dead air or hesitant discussion. Nicely done and worth a watch for anyone looking to learn. Some mistakes were made, but nothing unforgivable :-)
MiquelGar (1 month ago)
Nice idea and video, but the mic used could be better.

@15:03 FYI there is a scarecrow lord: Reaper King from Shadowmoor.

This rocks and would love to see more content like this! Needs a better recording device though... And more Tomer, probably better known as... Tomer.

Oh no! Arena! Quickly, everyone complain! Joking aside, nice new series. And I'm impressed with your ability to equip auras new guy. Would be nice if the audio was a little louder though. It was hard to hear during the intro and outro.

It's nice to see someone else have the same experience I have on arena... everyone always has a better deck.

Having just started playing Arena (long time magic player though), I very much enjoyed this. Hope there is more to come
Ricardo Harrison (1 month ago)
It's funny cuz most whiners here complain about how hard is to get a real deck in Arena--- Well, I've been playing for only 2 weeks, have been able to amass 4 rare mythic wildcards, 8 rare wildcards and a bunch of common and uncommon wildcards without spending a penny. I have built a sweet UW Control deck with Teferi, Azcanta, a bunch of mass removal and a whole lot of counterspells and it's working. Of course, if you can't spend your money you'll have to spend your time!! Haters gonna hate
Tom Jackal (1 month ago)
why whisper in outro
Photo Hound (1 month ago)
SO many punts...I find your careless playstyle a bit irritating. I think the monogreen deck selection is flawed. But I like the idea behind the series. I hope the level of care improves. I doubt it but will give the next episode a fair chance.

Reaper king is a scarecrow lord and it’s actually really good it’s just that there are almost no playable scarecrows to go with him

Great start to the series! I've been working on a similar idea (and also applied to the posting :P) but you executed it way better than I would have for sure. I'm a new fan! :D
Master Yi From Dota (1 month ago)
Quick correction: you said in the intro that you get 1 pack per 5 wins, 3 packs a day. It's actually 3 packs a week, not per day.

Is the tattoo grinning demon? If so, I know because I started playing around the same time and I loved the set onslaught. Definitely could see myself with so many tattoos from that set the cards look so badass

Thank you for the video! I'm running three accounts at once so I can do a bunch of drafts each week ; ) I saw you're text guide first and now have a deck halfway in between your middle and finished product. Really loving it! I can't wait to see your next videos and guides! I'm already planning on trying all of your decks! I know everyone can play any way they want, but I will mention I saw someone on YouTube talking about maximizing free to play rewards, and they said to save all gold until the 5000 mark, at which point you can enter drafts and then slowly convert the gold into both hand selected cards and gems. Then, use the gems at the 2000 mark to play regular drafts. Lather, rinse, and repeat until you have a good enough collection to play constructed and go infinite. Good luck in games and in packs!
James Humphries (1 month ago)
Good work on your first Goldfish video. You had some good tips for new players while still being entertaining. Can’t wait for next week!
MexicanDre (1 month ago)
Love it! Haven't even seen the video but I saw two awesome giant green Dino's and immediately had watch
Merc (1 month ago)
I would highly recommend not spending gold on packs. It's much more efficient to buy into drafts since you get 3 packs by default, the bots pass rares and MYTHIC rares often and you get a pack and some gems even if you dont get any wins. It's not impossible to go infinite either
Merc (1 month ago)
It's not 3 packs a day it's 3 packs a week
Jordan Hatten (1 month ago)
Got really upset when I didn't hear "hello there everyone, it's Seth, proooooooooobabllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better as Saffron Olive"
TheBeatlesfan013 (1 month ago)
Now THIS is some arena content I'm more than okay with!
Taylor Jones (1 month ago)
I think a decent “pace” for this series would be “play till we get the 5 wins for the pack”. In between, we can have a breakdown about what we changed, what the “end of the day” deck looks like. We can also have a “goal deck” to build towards. Once we start earning the two-color decks, we can also focus on quests for the day.
Manuel Aguilar Tirado (1 month ago)
Things I would like to see in this new section 1- I know is full f2p but recommend people to buy the starter bulndle would be nice, is great value you can get drafts or a sealed league of it 2- Try to test decks exclusively or mostly in constructed events, if people want to do their dailies better doing them there a decent run in dailies can give you your money back and reward you with cards, imo is the best use of your time. 3- I little bit more of insight on the decks you are playing and why is good choice for f2p players, I know you kinda did, but I felt you could have said more. 4- if this is weekly hopefully you make use of the dual color decks next week, they have a little bit more value plus more established strategies or just build your own out of that card pool 5- We should set a goal for the show in the short therm like getting a full deck or being able to get certain amount of gold or wild cards 6- Before yo go too invested in monogreen...DONT DO IT, mono green is in a really bad place metagame wise, is not as good as was expected to be, I did also started mono green and made a full list, with nullhides, vinemares, champions and pelt collectors and boy I regret it, tokens and golgari are way too god against the deck and since assasins trophy is not that great the small black splash is not really a profit. If we are choosing mono color decks i totally would suggest the mono blue deck using curious obsesion, it only needs 4 rares and is a top tier deck in real tournaments I dont liek that deck but in therms of investment is much better. Thanks a lot for the content, Im sad that goldfish was pushed to make use of a f2p series to make use of arena, I think people was way to butthurt in the comments. Is fun to see a f2p run I wonder were we can get.

My strategy at the beginning was Selesnya with Ghalta and Zetalpa at the top end as finishers. I've moved on since but it was a good start. I get staying mono green if that is what you are working towards.

Duncan Ellis (1 month ago)
this is a good idea for a series with an engaging host. Good job.
Diogo V. Kersting (1 month ago)
My personal opinion is that, since it's so easy to craft really good removal, ramping into big "dumb" creatures is not really a good strategy for who's starting. Of course, if you got steel leaf and Carnage Tyrant you're bound to "steal" some games, but then you're spending rares and mythics. That's why I personally like some really aggro strategy, especially mono-red. (Sure they'll be using their removal, but hopefully they're using in in low mana-cost threats). I feel like a Red deck with no rares and mythics will have a better win rate than a green one without rares and mythics. But this might be just my prejudice speaking. That said, red decks struggle against life-gain decks, which are relatively prevalent in low raking matches. Also, another good strategy would be Naya using Elves to ramp into Charging Monstrosaur (which is uncommon). Sure Charging monstrosaur dies to removal, but with haste there's a good chance he'll cause damage before dying. I guess ramping into Vine-Mare is also a good a strategy, as you mentioned in the video.
Diogo V. Kersting (1 month ago)
Actually counterspells are much better against big green creatures than small red creatures, that's actually kind of my point. I get that it's rock-papers-scissors kind of game(i.e. red will have its own bad matchups), but I still think I have a point.
StarkMaximum (1 month ago)
Counterspells are also very easy to craft, therefore all cards are bad and no one should play Magic because your stuff will just get countered.
Joseph A (1 month ago)
It's exciting to see some new personality on the channel. Some unsolicited constructive criticism: The play-by-play is a fine style, but I couldn't tell if this is just a stream edit (you speak to 'chat' a few times) or actually intended as a standalone VoD. Also, the description explains the direction the videos will take by growing the collection and refining the deck, but I didn't get that impression in the video. It just felt like we were queuing up aimlessly to experience f2p until 20+ minutes into the video. That said, still good content (particularly for the audience you've chosen) and attitude to enjoy the game for what it is instead of getting salty after losses. Kudos!

49:50 I originally thought they hired another content creator than Seth, but when I heard that pronounciation, I knew it was him xD

I'm super excited to have another person on this channel and I'm looking forward to seeing you on your first commander clash ;) But unfortunately, I really dislike arena content and "introductory" videos (e.g. Spellslingers), so I'm afraid this series is not right for me =(
mastarops (1 month ago)
Nice video. Would be even better if you had a better microphone. Hope to see more.
Paolo Migliorati (1 month ago)
I suggest the simic merfolk deck for beginners, as you just need 6 rare wildcards to upgrade it to a decent level
Art L (1 month ago)
pretty sure it caps out at 3 packs (1 for each 5 wins) per week not per day
FireSpark81 (1 month ago)
Yes you are right. It is 3 packs a week.
An Cao (1 month ago)
You get 3 more Llanowar Elves with the other NPE decks so crafting them early is just wasting Wildcards...
TravatronT2000 (1 month ago)
Good series! If this is intended to be educational, however, you should have an idea of what your end product is going to be before jumping in and using your wild cards without a specific purpose. That's the trap on Arena. Instead of scrolling through and randomly thinking "Kruul Harpooners could be good. Maybe a Brontodon. Oh, and Steel-leaf champions!" You should have a decklist set out and say - this is the final build we're going for, and we're going to upgrade these cards first, then these in order to shore up the weaknesses the starting deck has in the most efficient way possible. Like.. "OK! We got two common two uncommon and two rare wildcards, so we're going to use craft two Llanowar elves to fill out to 4, two brontodons and two steel leaf champions, because one of the best play this deck can do is pressure with a 5/4 on turn 2, so we want to build on that strength. The Brontodons will help us apply pressure but also deal with things like Ixilans Bindings and Eldest reborns"

Is this gonna be a progressing series, grinding out more and more each episode? If so, it'd probably be good to actually number the episodes Really good content btw :)

That outro was WAY too quiet. Please, editor, watch that waveform. Almost every video on the channel has horrendous audio balancing between the video and the outro.

I'd love to see Goreclaw in this deck. Unfortunately it doesn't affect Gigantosaurus or Steel Leaf. Can we get some Sarkhan's Unsealing spiciness too?

Oh boy, not even 10 minutes in and already punting. should have double-pumped baloth when opponent didn't block. they go down to 1 life, have to draw an asymmetric board wipe to not lose to their own creature.

The fun factor drops once you've unlocked all the decks, then it's just boring dailies over and over, unless you risk your gold.
