As a native American i dont like drunk jokes, but i dont care if non natives wear Pocahontas/indian/native costumes for Halloween.

Im late to the party but I’m short and I make so many jokes about it, my old manager used to even call me “shorty” and that was fine when he use it. Then others started using “shorty” at my expense which was definitely bullying. My line is drawn when they keep dragging it on. no matter how funny the joke is they play on it and drag it out rather than just laughing and moving on. It becomes really immature and it stops being funny really fast especially when someone repeats the same thing over and over.

its kinda fucked up but i had a rough childhood and my close friends know that but i deal with it the same way you do, with comedy. I always joke that i have daddy issues and make cutting jokes with my friends (despite all the scars on my arms) but it really just depends, like my friends make jokes that i think are very funny but its very awkward when someone new comes in and thinks its ok to start saying stuff like when i do something clumsy "aww did your dad hit you too hard in the head" and we all just look at him like wtf

I feel you. I have hearing problems problems. (I'm not deaf). But I joke about it a lot and my friends too. But when people try to mock me that we're it draws the line. I had people talk very quiet well I was sitting next to me and laughing at me because I couldn't hear anything they were saying.

Someone- Isn’t the big ben beautiful? Molly- ... Yeah! Beautiful.... At the mall Cashier- Oh, you went to the big ben? Molly- yeah..... why? Cashier- How does it look like? Molly- ..... I am so sorry if I offended anyone, this is me trying to be funny. I love you Molly and I would do anything to make you happy! Love you~

I’m trans, and my family and friends joke with me about it all the time, but I definitely get what it’s like for someone to take it too far.

That jerk with the food plate was being really cruel. He was basically denying you food for his entertainment. And being so disrespectful to you in front of an audience.

I’m fine with people who joke around my height Or blond jokes but my line is 100% my weight. It’s very hard for me to find any joke like that funny. It never usually is.

Do you find it offensive when a sighted person jokes that they're blind when they don't see something?
Rene Helen Saar (7 days ago)
At school we had to choose between russian and german and I picked german and my closer friends picked russian and they make fun of my choice all the time and it disturbes me so much but whenever I tell them because there’s two of them and only one of me they don’t really care and they still do it😕

What is the difference between a blind person and a sailor in prison? A: One can’t see to go, the other can’t go to sea.

Me and my LGBTQ+ friends make a lot of gay jokes. We also make a lot of jokes about dyslexia but I do believe there is a line that shouldn't be crossed.

As long as you make a joke that includes you and is with you that is funny but if it’s at you it isn’t funny

that guy pulling the plate makes me so angry, that’s not funny it’s just rude as hell

I alway joke about what a klutz I am and so does my family. I have Touretts Syndrome which means I am slightly on the Autism Spectrum, and I don't appreciate jokes about it at all. I'm gay and like blind jokes for you some are funny and I can appreciate them, while others just cross the line and make me uncomfortable.

I'm a trans person and I really love most jokes. Like the "did you assume my gender" and "I identify as..." but really the line is where you use it to make fun of me of invalidate trans people. But like it's really funny to make trans jokes... I do get strange looks from strangers though...

I dont have a disability. However, my father committed suicide when I was 6 years old, and my mother, grandma, and I both walked in and found him (he shot himself) so it was a pretty gruesome scene. I'm 23 now and that image is still burned into my head. I love humor and I can take alot of sick and crude jokes, but suicide jokes make me cringe. Sometimes I ignore it, but if it crosses the line, I will speak up

I think I already made a comment about this a while ago but I forgot so I’m saying it anyways. I joke about how pale I am with my friends. I’m extremely white and pale and the funniest part about that is that I live in one of the sunniest states ever and was born there but I have never had a tan. 😂
Aneko (1 month ago)
I completely agree with this... I am not blind, but I am non-binary. Most people make fun of non-binary people saying "I identify as a *blank* ". Some people say this as a joke (joking with me) and some people say it bullying me and others (joking about me). I really love making jokes like "I identify as a unicorn" but sometimes people joke about me to others and it really sucks

This is not a joke but I was thinking about this the other day. I live in Paris and everybody is always so busy and in a hurry that they all sport bitch resting face all the time. It’s annoying cause you never know if they’re enjoying talking to me or just wishing me to shut up. All these sad and pissed faces are not funny. You’re a sunny person that enjoys laughing all the time, you’re lucky you don’t have to stand pissed crowds all the time!

I have schizophrenia and bipolar and I don't find mental illness jokes ever funny unless it's a friend making a joke to me who shares my diagnosis.
TeddySparkles20 (1 month ago)
The thing that I can't stand when people make blind jokes is when they say "I wish I was blind because..." And they state something that they think is a blind privilege such as, "so I can have a guide dog to take everywhere" or "so I can get that much attention". I feel like it doesn't piss most people off like it does for me, but that's what ticks me off.

one of my classmates is often making jokes about me..but they are like "i really want another donut but i dont wanna get fat like that guy from another class. he looks just like you" and when i say to het that that was rude she says "oh im just joking" this when shes trying to hurt my feelings and say that its a joke thats really rude and insulting on my opinion. you make a really good point about crossing the line. ilt Molly <3

I make jokes about me usually being the one with my head in the clouds or me not being up-to-date with popular things. I also make jokes about my long arms and legs, as well as my double-jointed elbows and fingers. However, I am often overly sensitive, so if you know me and I have gotten upset about something related to these things, don't worry!

I wonder if blind people can see the future (get it)
Madi Shoemaker (1 month ago)
no I'm not blind I think some blind jokes are pretty funny actually so I think the line is don't make them exclude anyone who is blind
Kat Cooper-Parker (1 month ago)
I don't know quite how to define my line. I have OCD and I think my line is that I don't like people making jokes if they don't understand what OCD is. Like for example my friends got my some hand sanitizer as a joke present on Christmas, and I was fine with it because my particular OCD basically revolves around a fear of germs. They've taken the time to understand what my issue is. I don't like jokes that are like 'oh I'm so OCD I'm such a neat freak' or 'it should be CDO because it's in alphabetical order' or 'OCD stands for Obsessive Coffee Disorder'. I don't like them because they haven't taken the time to understand what OCD is and how those sort of jokes can lead to people with OCD not being taken seriously.

Hmmm ... I was hoping for a compilation of blind jokes. The shirt was good.
What why would someone do something that rude. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😂😂😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 It would be pretty funny 😁 if the other person stuck a sticky note on someone’s back saying “ Lazy Punk”. 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
That’s not right WTF ?????? 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
It’s a rude comment that was made and I don’t think other people grow up blind have ever heard someone else who’s cited say this.
Sometimes it’s stressful because everyone of your siblings thinks you have to be cited to learn how to use the stove. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I don’t agree that blind jokes are funny 😆 and I said this because people will say the most hurtful things to get a reaction from me. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 There’s never a time when people don’t understand that they’re discriminating me.

I have a sickness that's called fibromyalgia and i also have depression and ADD and i love to joke about it and to laugh about it. I don't really have a line, but when i don't feel comfortable with the joke i tell them. It's important for people to know.

I have a question: Have you ever attempted to play an instrument? ( because most instruments rely on hearing and touch) Because I know the person who tunes my piano is blind.

I am HOH ( hard of hearing) and im ok with deaf jokes however it's not ok if you mock the person and its not ok to say "sorry I didn't hear you" when they tell you that they are deaf or HOH, those sort of comments are not ok and very offensive, also if you hear two deaf or HOH people making deaf jokes know that it's not always ok to repeat them because some jokes are just ok if they are your friend and also deaf or HOH.

My favourite comedian is Adam Hills. He's an Australian comedian who was born with one leg and sometimes incorporates this fact into his routine. He went on to host a commentary show for the paralympics so it's pretty awesome he got to represent his community in that way

Im disabled as well. I have spina bifida. Im constantly made fun of on a daily basis and the most i get when im being made fun of is being called penguin. I have a limp when i walk. I honestly dont like any jokes concerning my disability because i dont see any humor in jokes when it comes to the problems i have. The only joke i think is ok is when people call me munchkin. Cause im short☺️
erica sanders (2 months ago)
im disabled and i like humor to but there is definitely a line to not cross that makes the person feel like you're making fun of them.

I hate blonde jokes because it’s not something funny, it’s about them being stupid or dumb and how blonde girls don’t get common sense or are objects and it drives me insane if someone mentions a blonde joke and I get very upset.

This reminds me a few years back I came From the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 and didn’t speak English...I knew the word “blind” but didn’t know the word “deaf” so I was trying to tell a friend a met a deaf person but since I didn’t know how to say “deaf” I came up with “I met a guy that was blind of his ears” 😂😂 I guess it made sense because they understood what I meant

I know I'm late, but please tell me if this is offencive or funny. A blind girl walks into a bar. They wake up the next day in hospital, with a concussion.

I stumbled on your channel through Shane and have been really enjoying your content and personality! I’m listening to how you addressed that plate “joke” really inspired me that we don’t have to be doormats in our lives and it’s okay to stand up for how someone’s actions make you feel.

One of my best friends is a quadriplegic. We make jokes often about it. Like one of her legs always falls off her footbar so we joke about her them trying to walk away. I also would help her in the restroom she would use a catheter that went in a stoma in her belly button. The conversations and issues we would have due to issues with the cath or whatever else were some of the funniest. We also would giggle about what we must have sounded like to other people in the bathroom.

Great explanation. And I agree that every joke is not funny. Some people go to the extremes. Unless you're in on it, it is not funny.
An old joke my mom loves: Do you see that tiny ant walking on the hill over there? Well, I don't!

A german Comedian said in one of his programms that it is racism to NOT make jokes about black people or persons with disabilities , because in the moment you decide to do that your thinking of them as different and not like an average person. So make jokes of (or better with) everybody because we are all worth it to be part of a joke ✌️
SereniaSaissa (3 months ago)
Not meaning to be rude, but I genuinely would love to know - did you and your family ever play - I spy with my little eye - on trips when you were a child - before you turned 14. And what do you say if anyone mentions that game these days. By the way - that fellow who was moving your food while you were feeling for it - was very cruel. I do not think I could have been calm enough to educate him. I simply would have told him that he clearly needs a lot of serious sensitivity training. Because doing that to a child (And We Day is for children!!) is mental or emotional abuse. Especially in front of lots of other people.

I’m a transgender teen who’s transition from female to male and I like to make jokes a lot and some trans jokes are funny but some cross the line, jokes along the lines of jokes about my wrist being my penis because that’s where they take skin from to create one for bottom surgery or me having more balls than a cis male in an ironic joke but things targeted at my genitals so like LOL YOU HAVE A VAGINA or things along the lines of at least I have a penis or being called a girl just aren’t funny to me and can just feel uncomfortable, like no there’s a line and you’ve got to be cautious of crossing it? When you start getting borderline transphobic or triggering for dysphoria (the uncomfortableness a trans person feelings in relation to being in the wrong body) then that’s just not cool

I have ADHD so usually people don't know that I am neurodivergent because it's not outwardly visible. So when I make a mistake and get asked why or told to "just focus" that's usually what I experience.

Moving the plate around is not a joke, at best you could call it a "practical joke", but practical jokes are not jokes it usually just a stupid term for being an asshole.

Yeahhh.... just you telling the story of the guy with the plate saddened me greatly. That is straight-up bullying. Definitely not okay. I am glad others didn't find it amusing and disapproved. Horrible feeling to be laughed AT, not with.
