KAUNAS LITHUANIA - Tourist guide

Please like share and subscribe to TrekTrendy for more worldwide travel vlogs: http://bit.ly/1WNqym8 I had the opportunity to visit Kaunas in Lithuania, albeit only for a short amount of time, but I jumped at chance! Kaunas is Lithuania's second largest city, and it's where I started my journey on exploring the country. I arrived late at night on a coach from Warsaw, so woke up early the following day to explore this beautiful city. Unfortunately both the weather and the attractions were not on our side as a lot were closed due to either holiday/lunch/weather but I was sure to make the most of the time I had. I will definitely be returning in the near future to see more of this great city. Remember to tune in again soon for the Vilnius segment of this trip! it's fine, we don't really mind, we care about people getting facts straight (whether positive or negative) much more rather than pronunciation. However, if I was a travel vlogger, I would look up basic things like these beforehand, since I believe it shows some respect. Also sadly, you chose the worst time of the year to travel here, even we locals absolutely hate autumn here. Summer is definitely the best, both in terms of the mood and overall events happening, there is so much more to do and it looks like a completely different place. Oh well, waiting for part 2 I guess.

more like Cownas, but yeah I guess it's hard for foreigners, you can hear the word here to know how it sounds. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Kaunas.ogg

It realy depends what sort of stuff you are into. You need to have defined interests or otherwise you'll experience randomness

Just arrived back from Kaunas myself (got home matter of hours ago), literally everytime person I spoke to had a different pronunciation so the fact that you mention it makes me laugh 😋 Also if the OP thinks that there was a lot of construction going on then he should see it this week. Stayed on this street and every day was a different maze of fences to negotiate. Great week though ❤

Haha yes I need to work on that! I'm sure you'll find some equally strange pronunciation in part 2 :)
