I'm an American (Northeast) and we have the word britches (to mean pants in the American sense of that word), and faffin' (pronounced faffing, same meaning as you). They aren't all that common, but they exist in the vernacular. All of the rest were moonspeak to me, though.

Rhiannon L yeah that’s what a tea cake is got me, but I’m from Devon. Tho my mums from Lancashire so maybe I picked it up from her

Abi Wright (5 years ago)
I'm from Yorkshire, and I can say that I say pretty much all of these. I don't realise how strange some of these actually sound until I hear someone not from Yorkshire try to say them. It's just normal for me!
Chloe Marshall (5 years ago)
I'm from huddersfield and its so funny others trying to guess Yorkshire words haha
Jen O'Neill (5 years ago)
See being American and watching this just completely confuses me, all of these words sound like gibberish...
wardenzo (5 years ago)
The beautiful thing about this world is that is sometimes weird as hell. The matter is that I'm from the Netherlands, I'm Dutch, but I knew all the words. It's mostly to blame on the fact that English isn't my first language, so ever word I know in English is taught to me at school or I've looked it up. So I learn every word I'll ever hear or read created by an English speaker, and in the end I know so much more definitions than I would when English would be my first language and I'd learned it naturally.
George Rushton (5 years ago)
I'm from Yorkshire and haven't heard of half of these..
