Milk Price War Senate Report - Sunshine Coast Dairy Farmers Not Happy

0 ratings | 352 views
A final senate report into the milk price war has been handed down. Sunshine Coast dairy farmers say it's a slap in the face. The report followed Coles dropping the price of its home brand milk by 33 cents, down to $1.00 a litre on Australia Day 2011. Woolworths and Aldi quickly followed suit. Its seven recommendations include a call for a review into the sustainability of the Australia's dairy industry, another into competition law and various urgings for more transparent negotiations in milk contracts.
