Please help...i just bought my second north face online and always be a little disapointed about the cut..it does not have a nice fit..its quite wide all around and on the arms but short on the overall length and on the sleeve length...i am 6/4 and have xxl. The type i have is tje resolve thermo dryvent. The other jacket is a little older but also has such a wide cut. Thought they would have a better slim cut?

All of them are worth every penny, they last forever you just need to maintain the waterproofing. You will never get holes or ripps from my experience with them.

North face is fucking shit 180 for the thing and the badge acts like a sponge so you end up with a wet nipple. Good for carrying tools and bottles tho 😉
Ollie Tennant (1 year ago)
If I had a £ for every time this geezer said "this is a really nice feature" I'd be able to afford this jacket.
George Morley (1 year ago)
I've just bought this jacket. I would say that to use the cinch cords in the pockets, it's better to pinch the toggles and then pull rather than just to heave on the elastic drawstring because it stresses the drawstring less. The jacket's zip also does up on an unusual side, at least for most menswear; it seems to be on the "ladies' side", if there is such a a thing, i.e. the zipper sits on the right hand side and the insert pin is on the left side of the jacket. Also, my model is probably a newer one and doesn't have a top button on the jacket, it simply has Velcro tabs going all the way up. I have noticed that North Face often change the layout or components on their jackets after a while - presumably to reduce costs and increase profit. I noticed that with my old Apex Bionic Jacket and the newer version (no breast pocket, different Velcro on the wrists, thinner material). Overall, this feels like a really nice jacket and I'm glad I bought it. It will be warm and windproof and versatile whilst being stylish also. However, I bought it at £120 reduced from £190 - I definitely don't think I would have paid much more than what I did for it - it doesn't strike me that it is that nice of a jacket to warrant the full RRP.

Hi, What is the difference between Evolution II and Evolve II jackets? They seem to be same jackets. Also are we sure about the inner fleece is polartec? Because it is not stated. Does Evolve II has polartec tech for inner fleece? It is too lightweight hope it can protect from cold :) Thanks

Is it strange that it says its made in China? and i even got it from its own store but no spots that look fake and feels high quality too is it just mass produced from there?
Virus PlaysGames (9 months ago)
I agree,I managed to find this jacket in a TNF outlet for £120,however when I looked online I found a bargain because the jacket was too small for the seller.£60 + £6 shipping was the price i paid with all of the tags etc.
Frederik Lundberg (1 year ago)
1400 DKK now :)
George Morley (1 year ago)
I would say that was a bit steep TBH - paid £120 for mine and I wouldn't have gone much higher than that. Not worth it in my honest opinion. But a lovely jacket, definitely. And I did buy it in Summer, so as last year's model and in the wrong season, they were obviously trying to shift some - I must have got lucky I guess.

Blimey, you must be thin. I'm 5' 8", 77kg and Medium fits me perfectly.

Hey +PtTatiana for a three in one jacket it does pack away nice and small. We have some Female Triclimates left on our site check them out here: http://www.simplyhike.co.uk/manufacturers/TheNorthFace/Clothing-Womens.aspx?State=Style&Style=3+in+1+Jacket Hope this helps Shaun @ Simply Hike

Llaammiill (4 years ago)
Is this jacket good in cold weather? As in -10-20 celcius.
Llaammiill (4 years ago)
@Gerrard Dennis It's not a problem :) I have gotten the jacket, and so far it might be fine with just a sweater/sweatshirt underneath. Thank you for the help though :)
Simply Hike (4 years ago)
@Llaammiill Hello, apologies for the late response. In that case, you would probably need very thick and warm layers underneath as you are doing gentle activity. This jacket does give you the flexibility to add and remove layers as needed. Hope this helps, Robyn
Llaammiill (4 years ago)
@simplyhike I'm just going to use it as a everyday jacket (no hiking or nothing like that).
Simply Hike (4 years ago)
Hello, This depends on how cold you tend to feel personally, as it only has a 100 weight fleece in it, but this can be replaced with a thicker one if needed. It's hard to state a maximum or minimum temperature as it does depend on the person, and also the activity you'll be doing, but will work as part of a layering system, you can add and take away as needed. Ideally start with a good base layer such as: http://www.simplyhike.co.uk/manufacturers/Icebreaker.aspx, then a warm midlayer such as these http://www.simplyhike.co.uk/products/Mammut/InnominataFleece-Black.aspx Down (for extra warmth):  http://www.simplyhike.co.uk/products/TheNorthFace/MensNewImbaburaHoodie-MontereyBlue.aspx and then a waterproof/windproof shell such as http://www.simplyhike.co.uk/products/TheNorthFace/MensSuperhypeJacket-DrummerBlue.aspx http://www.simplyhike.co.uk/products/Mammut/CraterJacket-BlackInferno.aspx Hope this helps you when making your decision, Thanks,
Bardhi M (4 years ago)
Hello,  is hyvent 100% waterproof and do you recommend gore-tex or hyvent for heavy rain
sweet n' sticky (1 year ago)
simplyhike I wouldn't say that old Gore-Tex is lifetime warranty, maybe new Gore-Tex Pro materials. During my army days we were using some old Gore-Tex coats on rainy days (they were used 5 years +) and we could still get wet. Not to mention that some of my collegues used brand new GoreTex boots and little river water was easily penetrating them. They were disappointing.
Grzegorz Grzegorz (1 year ago)
Hakan Erdur because they want your money , dry vent , omni tech etc. what are these nobody know but they just tell you give us your money right know!
Hakan Erdur (2 years ago)
So will hyvent tech lose its waterproof feature over some time? why they don't give lifetime warranty?
Simply Hike (4 years ago)
Hey Bardhi M, Hyvent is 100% waterproof but it doesn't have a life time guarantee like Gore-Tex. For heavy rain conditions we would recommend Gore-Tex. Shaun, Simply Hike

i don't like Northface jackets mainly because of how popular it is, and how everyone wears it, i prefer Arcteyrx
Anderson (4 years ago)
Hello quick question. I'm in Canada and the winters get pretty cold here. Will this do the job as well as a bomber like the Gotham? What temperature is this jackets maximum before needing layers?
Anderson (4 years ago)
@simplyhike Thanks for the clarification! We see -20 all the time and as a commuter I would prefer needing less layers. Will stick to gotham!
Simply Hike (4 years ago)
Hello, It should do the job but this also does depend on how cold you tend to feel personally as it only has a 100 weight fleece in it, but this can be replaced with a thicker one if needed. The Gotham is longer in length than the Triclimate which is a fitted 3 in 1 so better for layering. It's hard to state a maximum or minimum temperature as it does depend on the person, but the key is not to have to start with too many layers and you can add and take away as needed. Ideally start with a good base layer such as: http://www.simplyhike.co.uk/manufacturers/Icebreaker.aspx, then a warm midlayer such as these http://www.simplyhike.co.uk/products/Mammut/InnominataFleece-Black.aspx Down (for extra warmth):  http://www.simplyhike.co.uk/products/TheNorthFace/MensNewImbaburaHoodie-MontereyBlue.aspx and then a waterproof/windproof shell such as http://www.simplyhike.co.uk/products/TheNorthFace/MensSuperhypeJacket-DrummerBlue.aspx http://www.simplyhike.co.uk/products/Mammut/CraterJacket-BlackInferno.aspx Hope this helps you when making your decision, Thanks, Leanne @Simply Hike
