TALLINN ESTONIA 🇪🇪 - English tourist guide

Please like share and subscribe to TrekTrendy for more worldwide travel vlogs: http://bit.ly/1WNqym8 Earlier in the year I had the opportunity to drop into Tallinn for 24 hours. A flying visit of course, but I had to explore as much as possible during my layover. Today I'll take you along with me as I explore this gorgeous capital city - albeit the temperatures were far below freezing. I also managed to get some pretty awesome drone shots across the city and will try to include more of these in future videos. I stayed at the brand new Hilton hotel which is a short walk from the Old Town. This was perfect for me, but there are plenty of other options in the old town which are more convenient. Do let me know what you think as always in the comments, and if there are any places you want me to visit next! Estonia, a country that broke away from the former Soviet Union just 27 years ago, is a global leader in digital innovation. It’s the first nation to declare Internet access a basic human right, first to accept digital signatures for most transactions, first to institute online voting, first to form a data embassy, first to institute laws governing robots. The young country is also the inventor of “delivery robots" and inventor of Skype. In this pre-release episode from my "4 Baltic States & Deutschland" series (coming in early 2019), I am going to check out how high tech the fast food joints in Tallinn (the capital of Estonia) are given the technology development status of the country. I grabbed my GoPro and did some low tech, non-exhaustive and much simplified investigative journalism. Come seek out the answer with me. Link: https://youtu.be/HiyweUrkLdY

I’m visiting this Feb (when it’s even colder haha) any suggestions on bars/restaurants to hit at night? We’re people out drinking despite the cold?

Great video man. I’ve always wanted to have an idea on how Estonia looked like from inside. I hope I can visit that country soon.

This video must have been made a long time ago, its not -10C in estonia in october, at least this year.
Trek Trendy (1 month ago)
Correct - it was filmed in March of this year. I held back publishing this until the beginning of the Autumn/Winter as it will be more useful to those planning a winter escape here :)

Amazing. Super impressive Will. Can't wait to see some more videos! I love Sydney, I kinda wish I did it sooner, however it is so far out the way other here. Watching your long eastern European weekend aways makes me miss Europe, but there is plenty to see other in this hemisphere also.

Love Aus, hope to visit again sometime. How are you finding living in Sydney? Yes plenty more travel plans don't you worry ;) I work for myself now full time on TrekTrendy so maybe even 24 could happen aha
kimberley Key (2 months ago)
I wish! Although could be worse, I am living in Sydney, Australia at the moment. I love it. Anymore plans for 12 countries in 12 months? Or maybe go one better Will, 24 countries in 12 months! :)
Trek Trendy (2 months ago)
Thank you Kim :) where are you in the world now, still travelling?
kimberley Key (2 months ago)

Very informative vlog, your production has definitely improved. The drone is a nice touch, couldn't believe it wouldn't take off as it was too cold lol. That busker made me laugh, hurling abuse at you for vlogging 😂
Trek Trendy (2 months ago)
Thanks dude - and likewise you too
Aaron Explores (2 months ago)
haha the dreaded backlog. Yes it does pile up quickly. Looking forward to your next vlogs bro.
Trek Trendy (2 months ago)
This was recorded in March... on my way to Doha and Singapore (vlogs incoming aha) now i've got more time on my hands i'm going to be editing and uploading a lot more frequently - it's so easy to get a backlog isn't it!
Aaron Explores (2 months ago)
+Trek Trendy thanks bro, how long ago did you record this by the way?
Trek Trendy (2 months ago)
Thanks Aaron - yes the drone surprised me, once the batteries were warmed up all was good thankfully. Literally couldn't believe that busker, I was only walking past anyway. I've been enjoying your Turkish vlog series. Cappadocia is 100% on my list now looks like something out of a dream!

Very intact city was called Reval before the revolution love the coloured buildings thanks Will
Sirje Malmet (1 month ago)
For Estonians it was Tallinn at least from 17th century. German rulers called Tallinn Reval, but revolution got rid of them
Trek Trendy (2 months ago)
Didn't know that thanks for sharing Malcolm :) And yes the building are so colourful in the Old town, I hope to visit again sometime, maybe when it's slightly warmer!
