A lot of girls in Asia prefer using plastic hair ties over the common ones. Why is that? Watch the video to find out! Buy them here: http://www.amazon.com/ALICE-Double-Plastic-Phone-Ponytail/dp/B00NXM4F7G/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1417064643&sr=8-2&keywords=plastic+hair+tie Social Media: ♥ Blog: http://lindalivinginchina.com/ ♥ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/lindalivinginginchina ♥ Twitter: https://twitter.com/WoShiLinda ♥ Instagram: http://instagram.com/woshilinda

I wear those since 7 and now I'm 21. It's really surprise me that some countries doesn't have that hair band. You can get 8 of the hair bands for a dollar.

Are these a good substitute for the common, damaging, rubber type hair ties?

These are so worth it! I have long thick hair down to my but almost and I like to do ponytails to keep hair out of my face and with regular elastic hair ties it can pull at my hair sometimes from the roots also if I want to do a bun elastic hair ties don't hold my hair and eventually falls out /gets loose. I tested these today when I worked out and they were awesome!! My hair didn't feel pulled at all and I was also able to do a bun and it didn't fall loose even when I jumped around and shook my head :)

pheonix leaf so true! I'm a black women and live in London UK. I bought my first thick one about 8-10 years ago for my daughter from black hair shop. It was purple and said on the packet 'can be used as hair band or bracelet'. Cheap as chips too, pack of two for £1. And I've still got them in perfect condition. Saved alot of money as normal snagless hairbands break sometimes even the first time I used them. We used to get through too many packs of those thick ones and they weren't snagless at all. Asda sell pack of 4 small for £1.50.
I LOVE theese hairties they are amazing. I live in hungary and If there DM (drugstore) in your country there are some of theese their called Papanga. They are really cheap.

Do these hair ties work well with wet hair? Does it keep the pony tail dent out of your hair even when you apply the plastic hair tie on wet hair?
Stella Johnston (3 years ago)
They work great in wet hair. In my experiences thought but I don't really agree about the 'no line '

Do you think you can wear them if you have curly hair? Wouldn't it get stuck in the hair?
son.o.saturn (8 months ago)
I have extremely thick, curly hair and these work fine :)
Stella Johnston (3 years ago)
They actually work really well in curly hair as they are a coil shape

I just saw these in a store in Germany today. Didn't know what the hell was going on and why anybody would wear something like that.. But now after watching your video I might actually try them out. I really have a hard time tying my hair up because it hurts so much. Thank you Linda! :D

Those hair ties became quite popular in western countries recently, I think last year maybe. They r known  as invisibobble (http://invisibobble.com/en) and are overpriced of course ;) I had one from China and it's ok, although I'm not huge fan of them :p
