How to start a tour company
http://www.evancarmichael.com/support/ - SUPPORT ME :) Like this video? Please give it a thumbs up below and/or leave a comment - Thank you!!! In this video I answer a question from one my readers who asked: Hi Evans am thinking of starting a tour company that would also source accommodation for its clients and would take clients to any destination in kenya for a reasonable fee.I have carried out a research to find out how we need to introduce ourselves in the market and also researched on things like competition and how to stand out from the rest also marketing whereby we need to network with agencies abroad and also from the east so that they can be sending us clients for a commission.I have contacted a few of them through the internet and they are positive. Our target group is local and international tourists, honeymooners, corporates having trips and team building activities. Our international airport here in nairobi also gets tourists who have no idea which tour company is taking care of them so the taxi drivers at the airport are also our target whereby when they bring clients we shall give them a commission based on the package the clients are taking. So it is a noble idea but the financial part to implement it is a problem.Am passionate about it because i have worked in the hospitality industry all my life so at least i got experience and the know how. I hope you will also like the idea. Thanks. Kind regards, Christine Githaiga.

How a Laser Works
Bill shows how the three key characteristics of laser light - single wavelength, narrow beam, and high intensity - are made. He explains the operation of a ruby laser - the first laser ever made - showing how electronic transitions create stimulated emission to give coherent light, and then how the ends of the ruby cavity create a narrow wavelength highly collimated beam. 11 Amazing Things To Do in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Get more things to do in Kuala Lumpur, and travel tips: http://migrationology.com/2014/02/kuala-lumpur-travel-guide-food-lovers/ I'm Mark Wiens and thank you very much for watching this video about a few of the top things to do in Kuala Lumpur, a city that just happens to be one of my favorite cities to visit in Southeast Asia. It's the largest and probably the most important and influential city in Malaysia and truly has some amazing sites to offer. Along with modern skyrise towers like the Petronas Towers, there are still lots of traditional historic buildings as well. The awesome mixture of cultures, the mix of traditional and modern, and very importantly, the outstanding cuisine is what makes Kuala Lumpur such a great city to explore! 1. On this list of top things to do in Kuala Lumpur I first stop by the most famous landmark of the the city: the Petronas Towers. These twin giant sky scrapers are huge, and they literally reach towards the heavens and touch the clouds. On the bottom of the Petronas Towers is a pretty fancy shopping mall while the tops of the towers are filled with offices. On the 41st and 42nd floor, there is a sky bridge which connects the two towers together and which is open for visitors. Years ago, it used to be free entrance but unfortunately now they have started to charge a rather steep 80 Malaysian Ringgits per person. 2. After the visiting the Petronas towers, number two on the list is the historical district of old Kuala Lumpur. Visiting and walking around the area is one of the top things to do in Kuala Lumpur and you shouldn't miss the opportunity. From Merdeka Square to the old railroad station, you'll see some amazing architecture and buildings. Another must visit is the National Mosque, which is known as Masjid Negara. With a capacity of 15,000, this is the central and most visited mosque in the city. 3. The Menara KL Tower, along with the Petronas Towers, is one of the dominating features of Kuala Lumpur's skyline. At 421 meters in height, it's one of the world's tallest communications towers. I was lucky enough to be invited to the annual BASE jumping event which was held at the KL Tower so I had a pass to go to the top for the incredible view and to see the event (http://migrationology.com/2012/10/jordan-kilgore-base-jump-kuala-lumpur/). The KL Tower also offer look out viewpoints and a number of restaurants where you can dine with an incredible view. 4. Number 4 is Little India which is better known as Brickfields. Kuala Lumpur is home to many Indian's many from the south of the country. Brickfields is a popular place to browse, shop for all sorts of Indian products and most importantly to eat at some seriously delicious Indian restaurants. If you're looking for good Indian food in Kuala Lumpur, check out this restaurant: http://migrationology.com/2012/11/south-indian-food-kuala-lumpur-vishalatchi/ 5. Chinatown, located on Petaling Street, is one of the biggest Kuala Lumpur attractions. It's mostly known for it street shopping and restaurants. You can find all sorts of fake brand names and nearly everything imaginable. 6. Thean Hou Temple is one of the most impressive Daoist temples in Kuala Lumpur. It's free to visit and offers insights into the Hainanese community in the city and there are also great views of the city. 7. Central Market, is a top tourist shopping attraction in Kuala Lumpur. Though many of the products are rather touristy, there are some good things waiting to be found. 8. Within central Kuala Lumpur are the KL Lake Gardens and Bird Park. It makes a great tropical escape to the bustling city life. 9. The Batu Caves, located just outside the central part of the city is one of the best things to do in Kuala Lumpur. The caves and shrines are one of the most sacred Hindu sites outside of India. 10. Chow Kit Market is the central fresh wet market in the city. Everyday thousands of shoppers get their Malaysian food ingredients at this interesting market. 11. Malaysian food is the ultimate attraction to visiting Kuala Lumpur. With a great mixture of local Malay, Chinese, and Indian, there's no shortage of incredible dining that will leave you satisfied and hungry for more! For myself, eating is one of the best things to do in Kuala Lumpur! Hope you enjoyed this list and hope you have a wonderful visit! Music in this video is Feel Free by Joe Sacco. How a Microwave Oven Works
Bill details how a microwave oven heats food. He describes how the microwave vacuum tube, called a magnetron, generates radio frequencies that cause the water in food to rotate back and forth. He shows the standing wave inside the oven, and notes how you can measure the wavelength with melted cheese. He concludes by describing how a magnetron generates radio waves. Suicide Forest in Japan
Like VICE News? Subscribe to our news channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-VICE-News The Aokigahara Forest is the most popular site for suicides in Japan. After the novel Kuroi Jukai was published, in which a young lover commits suicide in the forest, people started taking their own lives there at a rate of 50 to 100 deaths a year. The site holds so many bodies that the Yakuza pays homeless people to sneak into the forest and rob the corpses. The authorities sweep for bodies only on an annual basis, as the forest sits at the base of Mt. Fuji and is too dense to patrol more frequently. Malaysia Airlines booking promotion for 2012, get huge discounts NOW!
Visit http://www.flightfounder.com/malaysia-airlines-online-booking for latest flight promotions. Book your flight ticket at cheap price. Check the link above to get air fare discounts for MAS and Air Asia. ================================ Why you should consider online booking? ================================ Traveling by plane is sometimes the only viable way to get from one point to another, so today we are going to approach the topic of how to book flight ticket online. Think about having to go from Paris to Rio de Janeiro. Not only is it faster to get there by plane, but the prices on tickets have dropped considerably, since the majority of people nowadays considering flying just as mundane as driving a car. The best part about traveling by air is that the price of tickets differs quite a lot, depending on the services you wish to benefit from during your flight. For example, meals on board will add an extra fee to your total costs, just as access to in-flight movies and gaming will also increase the price. But today, we have the so called “low cost” flights which can provide you with tickets for prices as low as $20, especially if they have been bought in advance. 1# Avoid the crowd - Book flight ticket online And since you most likely want to avoid the crowd at the airport or you are too busy to head down to a traveling agency, you can now book flight ticket online: all you need is internet connection, a credit card with some money and 7 to 10 spare minutes at your disposal. You can either visit the website of a specific airline company if you have one that you're more comfortable with, or you can go to a website that contains information about all flights of all airline companies, this giving you the possibility to compare and choose from a wide variety of offers and services. Thanks to the advanced online filters, you can enter specific data, like the departure date, number of people traveling with you and so forth. After you have chosen the airline company you want to travel with and the specific flight, you will be redirected to a webpage that will allow you to make a secure online payment. If you are somehow skeptical when it comes to using your credit card for an online purchase, please note that tens of thousands of people are using online flight ticket booking and pay using this method, because it is safe and it helps them save precious time. 2# Book flight ticket online with secure payment methods You will be told exactly what data is needed and, once you have selected the payment method, typed in the required information and accepted the transaction, you are good to go. The company will send you an e-mail with an electronic version of your ticket: all you have to do is to print it and present it at the airport at the check in. As you can see, if you are looking to book a flight ticket online, things are pretty easy. You just need to make sure that you are using official websites to make online purchases because phishing is still a phenomenon we have to deal with, hackers creating websites identical to the original one with the purpose of retrieving your credit card information. But these types of scams usually start off with you receiving an e-mail with the hackers trying to impersonate a representative of your bank, so it has nothing to do with booking your airline ticket.

Globalization I - The Upside: Crash Course World History #41
In which John Green teaches you about globalization, a subject so epic, so, um, global, it requires two videos. In this video, John follows the surprisingly complex path of t-shirt as it criss-crosses the world before coming to rest on your doorstep, and eventually in your dresser. (Unless you're one of those people who never puts their laundry away and lives out of a laundry basket. If that's the case, shame on you.) Anyway, the story of the t-shirt and its manufacture in far-flung places like China, Guatemala, and India is a microcosm of what's going on in the global economy. Globalization is a bit of a mixed bag, and there have definitely been winners and losers along the way. In this episode John will talk about some of the benefits that have come along with it. Next week, he'll get into some of the less-positive side effects of globalization. Also, you should turn on the captions. Football's Most Dangerous Rivalry
The rivalry between football clubs Rangers and Celtic goes past typical name calling and dives into violence, racial slurs and pure hatred. The rivalry between Glasgow's "Old Firm" sides is the most famous in world football. It's the game's flagship loathing, proof of the power of the sport to inspire profound levels of tribal loyalty and a near-Pavlovian revulsion at anything to do with a rival. Coronado - Things to Do in San Diego
California Travel Expert Veronica Hill of http://www.CaliforniaTravelExpert.com and the California Essential Guide app offers a guided tour of Coronado, CA in this episode of California Travel Tips. Founded in 1885 by Hampton Story and E.L. Babcock, Coronado sits on a peninsula just 5 miles from downtown San Diego. If you're staying downtown, you can reach Coronado Island via the 2 1/2-mile long Coronado Bridge, or hop aboard the Coronado Ferry, which departs Broadway Pier nine times daily. Start your visit at the Hotel Del Coronado, one of the world's most beautiful Victorian seaside resorts. Built in 1888, the Del remains one of the hottest vacation spots in California, complete with luxury vacation villas, gourmet dining and stunning ocean views. The Coronado Historical Association offers walking tours of the Hotel Del and some of Coronado's famous buildings. Don't miss a peek at Wizard of Oz author L Frank Baum's home on Star Park Circle (1101 Star Park Circle), or the infamous Spreckels Mansion (1043 Ocean Blvd.), built by Hotel Del owner John Spreckels in 1907. President Clinton vacationed in the historic Crown Manor estate (1902), which overlooks Coronado Beach (1015 Ocean Blvd.). At 20,000 square feet, it's the largest home in Coronado! Consistently named one of the best beaches in America, Coronado Beach is known for its gentle rolling waves and expanses of soft sand that are perfect for surfing, swimming and volleyball. In between sunbathing, you can head into Mootime Creamery for some hand-scooped gourmet ice cream, then come back at sunset for a signature Coronado Margarita at the Hotel Del Cabana Bar. Coronado Village runs along Orange Avenue, a chic little shopping district that's packed with luxury boutiques, theaters and charming restaurants. It's a great place to ride your bike, linger over a frozen yogurt, or join a Coronado Segway Tour. A few miles south, Silver Strand State Beach beckons visitors with its breezy winds that are perfect for kite surfing. For something more laid-back, the Gondola Company offers romantic sunset gondola rides in Coronado Cays. As one of the most dog-friendly cities in California, Coronado has plenty of places to take your pup. You can let your run through the sand at Coronado Dog Beach, located at the end of Ocean Boulevard, or book a dog surfing lesson through Loews Coronado Bay Resort and the Coronado Surfing Academy. Every June, the hotel hosts its annual Coronado Surf Dog Competition, drawing thousands of spectators from around the state. Trip Gets Flogged - Glory (3/8) Movie CLIP (1989) HD

FILM DESCRIPTION: Glory is a celebration of a little-known act of mass courage during the Civil War. Simply put, the heroes involved have been ignored by history due to racism. Those heroes were the all-black members of the 54th Regiment of the Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, headed by Col. Robert Gould Shaw (Matthew Broderick), the son of an influential abolitionist (played by an uncredited Jane Alexander). Despite the fact that the Civil War is ostensibly being fought on their behalf, the black soldiers are denied virtually every privilege and amenity that is matter of course for their white counterparts; as in armies past and future, they are given the most menial and demeaning of tasks. Still, none of the soldiers quit the regiment when given the chance. The unofficial leaders of the group are gravedigger John Rawlins (Morgan Freeman) and fugitive slave Trip (Denzel Washington), respectively representing the brains and heart of the organization. The 54th acquit themselves valiantly at Fort Wagner, SC, charging a fortification manned by some 1,000 Confederates. Glory was based on Lincoln Kirstein's Lay This Laurel and Peter Burchard's One Gallant Rush; the latter book was founded on the letters of Col. Robert Gould Shaw, the real-life character played by Matthew Broderick. The film won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for co-star Denzel Washington, and additional statuettes for Best Cinematography (Freddie Francis) and Sound Recording. CREDITS: TM & © Sony (1989) Cast: Matthew Broderick, Cary Elwes, John Finn, Morgan Freeman, Jihmi Kennedy, Denzel Washington Director: Edward Zwick Producers: Pieter Jan Brugge, Sarah Caplan, Freddie Fields, P.K. How Trees Bend the Laws of Physics
Hope this was worth the wait! So many people helped with this video: Prof John Sperry, Hank Green, Henry Reich, CGP Grey, Prof Poliakoff, my mum filmed for me in beautiful Stanley Park and Jen S helped with the fourth version of the script. Prof John Sperry http://biologylabs.utah.edu/sperry/john.html Hank Green (SciShow) http://www.youtube.com/user/scishow Henry Reich (minutephysics) http://www.youtube.com/user/minutephysics CGP Grey http://www.youtube.com/user/cgpgrey Prof Poliakoff (Periodic Videos) http://www.youtube.com/user/periodicvideos Also thanks to the Palais de la Decouverte - they helped me with the whole vacuum pump setup in Paris. No, I could not actually suck water up 10m - I did about 4m, but the vacuum pump was easily able to do it and I saw spontaneous boiling on all of our various trials. Footage from this may end up on 2Veritasium. Trees create immense negative pressures of 10's of atmospheres by evaporating water from nanoscale pores, sucking water up 100m in a state where it should be boiling but can't because the perfect xylem tubes contain no air bubbles, just so that most of it can evaporate in the process of absorbing a couple molecules of carbon dioxide. Now I didn't mention the cohesion of water (that it sticks to itself well) but this is implicit in the description of negative pressure, strong surface tension etc.

trucking company tips - a letter from a driver and my comments
Trucking company tips are for managers who have lost their way. Seems to be common. Why don't you treat your drivers like gold. They can boost your profits like nothing else. (Read this to get insight, more words from me and feedback from drivers http://www.lifeasatrucker.com/trucking-industry-changes.html) Supposed you treated them the way you would want to be treated if you were a trucker. Think about the boost in morale, loyalty, the unity among team members. Supposed you made it a vow to get them home more often than 3 weeks at a time so their families were happier. This would mean that their attitudes would be better. They would also be more focused when out on the road if stressed less about their family falling apart at home. Why not ask for their input to improve the company. Why not encourage healthy habits as part of driver meetings. Provide speakers about time, healthy lifestyles, relationships, time management, finance, parenting, planning ahead, and goal setting. The more organized and successful their personal lives, the better drivers they make. If you are also treating them as family or at least a team, and properly compensate them. You wouldn't have to worry about turn over or customer satisfaction. What if you had that type of company"? You can

FILM DESCRIPTION: Jason Reitman's adaptation of the novel Up in the Air tells the story of Ryan Bingham (George Clooney), who makes his living personally handing out pink slips -- he's the top hatchet man at a company that other companies hire when they are downsizing. And since business is booming, his job keeps him on the go constantly. He flies all across the country, staying in a series of nice hotels. And although this itinerant lifestyle prevents him from having any kind of stable, regular life, this doesn't bother him in the slightest -- he's thrilled to be a boy in a traveling bubble. During one particular layover, he strikes up a conversation with Alex Goran (Vera Farmiga), a fellow savvy traveler. They bond over the ins and outs of various airlines and hotels, and quickly fall into bed. By morning, they are figuring out when their schedules will allow them to meet up again, even though they both make it clear that there are no strings attached. When Ryan arrives back in the home office, he meets no-nonsense career-oriented twentysomething Natalie Keener (Anna Kendrick), a fast-rising up-and-comer who wants to change the company's practices and save millions by having the staff fire people remotely via webcams. Furious at the thought of losing a lifestyle he's grown quite comfortable with, he convinces his boss (Jason Bateman) to let him take Natalie on a few trips so that she can learn what it's really like to fire someone. Melanie Lynskey, Danny McBride, and J.K. Simmons co-star in this Best Picture Academy Award nominee. Survival Trip (May 2012) Highlights
For those who haven't or didn't feel like wading through the 4 part ~45 minute survival trip videos I posted back in May/June, I decided to filter it down to about 8 minutes of just the highlights. Enjoy! This was a 3 day, 2 night trip I did with my dad in spring at about 800 meters. There was snow in the day time at that altitude. There were still snow packs at about 1000 meters, too. This was our first trip so we didn't do anything too crazy, the cold nights were enough. Here is the playlist for the full series: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL61FFBADC7ACD8238&feature=view_all I have the worldwide commercial distribution rights to this video. See the world through her Asperger eyes: Wendy Lampen at TEDxDelft
Wendy Lampen (Belgium, 1969 -- @lampadedromy) works as a lecturer for a university of applied sciences. She got diagnosed with Aspergers syndrome herself. Trained as a teacher in English, History and Ethics she later on worked with adolescents with autism in a school setting. Next to being an MA in autism, she extensively studied neurotypical (non-autistic) behaviour in order to understand people better. It gave her insight into what really set her apart from (most of the) others: sensory processing and its ongoing processes and the way the two braintypes give meaning to the world they experience. This hightend awareness made her start her own company with her (neurotypical) partner. From her international experience in how different cultures look at autism or 'disorders' in general, Wendy is an advocate for a neuro-divers society. She focusses on the competences and the possibilities of the different braintypes and how they each can contribute to a richer life. Slab Raising, Do It Yourself
PLEASE READ THIS. The 6 ft x 6 ft sidewalk slab at our front stoop had sunk on one end to a 10-1/2 inch step. It caused people to trip stepping up, and to stumble stepping down. I didn't want to spend $350 to $400 so I thought up ways to lift the slab and what to put under it. I decided to use heavy-duty C-clamps, a 10 ft. long 4x4 post, and scissor jacks to raise it. And then insert Owens-Corning Foamular high-density foam under the raised slab (from Home Depot or similar store). This stuff is great. It took me about 2 hours once I assembled the tools. Be sure when you buy good hardware store C-clamps that are heavy duty, not those from Harbor Freight or a 'Made In China' tool store. A friend who owns apartment buildings had a slab-jacking company pump in expanding foam. He told me that foam does not last. But this Foamular is actually designed to be installed under concrete. It is used in new construction to insulate walls and floors! Don't try this yourself unless you have proper equipment and take safety precautions. Raise slab HIGH ENOUGH to slide in the foam in manageable pieces. No need to cover the entire area beneath the slab with foam - covering about 1/2 of the area or more will be enough. And NEVER put hands under the slab. Good luck with your project.

How the oceans can clean themselves: Boyan Slat at TEDxDelft
18-year-old Boyan Slat combines environmentalism, entrepreneurism and technology to tackle global issues of sustainability. After diving in Greece, and coming across more plastic bags than fish, he wondered; "why can't we clean this up?" While still being on secondary school, he then decided to dedicate half a year of research to understand plastic pollution and the problems associated with cleaning it up. This ultimately led to his passive clean-up concept, which he presented at TEDxDelft 2012. Working to prove the feasibility of his concept, Boyan Slat currently gives lead to a team of approximately 50 people, and temporarily quit his Aerospace Engineering study to completely focus his efforts on The Ocean Cleanup. The progress of The Ocean Cleanup can be followed through www.theoceancleanup.com, www.facebook.com/TheOceanCleanup, as well as www.twitter.com/TheOceanCleanup.
