Coming up we have food, transport, money, some tips from the locals, and a whole lot more! But first here’s some more about the city! Paris is one of my favourite places in the whole world. With its grand boulevards, friendly locals, and first class cuisine, this city really has it all! One of the best bits about Paris is how close it is! Paris is connected to London by the Eurostar. Trains depart from St Pancras International in London, stop off at Ebbsfleet International, and Ashford International in Kent along the way. Trains start running at 5.40am and run every 60 - 90 minutes until 8.00pm. You’ll need your passport and ticket ready to pass through airport style security and board the train. However you can two bags, and there’s no weight restrictions to worry about! There’s an onboard cafe that sells hot food and drinks, and modern trains even have wifi. All in all the journey takes about two and half hours. The EuroStar arrives at Paris Gare Du Nord, from here you can take the metro or a taxi to your hotel. We’ll have more on the Metro later! Now if you’re flying in… There are routes from most airports in the UK, and a flight will take between 1 - 2 hours, you’ll either land in Charles De Gaulle in the North East, or the Smaller Paris Orly in the South. To get into the city from Charles De Gaulle airport, you can take Line B of the RER, trains take about 35 minutes to Paris Gare Du Nord, where you can find connections to the Metro and other public transport. From Orly Airport you can connect to Line B of the RER line as well. Although you’ll need to take the Orly Val Shuttle Service from the airport to Antony train station first. However, both airports are served by Air France’s transfer buses. There are two lines from Charles de Gaulle into the city, one from Paris Orly and a line that connects the two. As with most cities we recommend getting around on foot, besides being eco-friendly, it’s a great way to get a feel for the city. But just bear in mind that Paris is big. Like, really big. A walk from the Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame will take about an hour. Fortunately, if you’re strapped for time then there are lots of really good public transport links. The subway system is split into the Metro and RER lines. Tickets will work across both so you can treat it as one big underground network. In our experience, it served a purpose which was to us around the city quickly. It’s just not the cleanest. The Metro has 16 lines, each with a different colour while the five RER lines are assigned the letters A, B, C, D and E. RER and Metro trains run every day from 6 am until half past midnight. As for tickets a single will cost you €1.90, we brought a book of 10 for €14.50. Now there are weekly and monthly passes available, but in my opinion, they’re just a faff! You need a Passport photo, and everything else, so I just say a book of ten is the way forward! ....

Please like share and subscribe to TrekTrendy for more worldwide travel vlogs: http://bit.ly/1WNqym8 On December 3rd I went to Africa for the day. Specifically Marrakech. I was browsing a flight search engine a month ago, trying to find some inspiration for an ambitious day trip. We've all seen the possibilities of day trips to Paris or even Rome but I wanted further... I wanted to go to a different continent for the day. So when Marrakech, Morocco came up for £80 return from London Gatwick I spoke to my friend John (Shakes) and got tickets booked that evening. The flights took a little over 3 hours each way which worked well as it would allow us a solid 6 hours of exploring. We departed from Gatwick North terminal early at 7:45 am and arrived in Marrakech about 11am. Arrival formalities were quick, especially as we'd completed our landing cards beforehand. Passport stamped we cleared immigration and were met in arrivals by our driver who'd take us to the Mamounia palace hotel for coffee. Arriving here was magical, it was one of the grandest and unique hotels i've been to, albeit I was only there for a drink. We sat on the terrace over looking the gardens, and lapped up the morning sunshine. It was hard to believe a few hours ago we were in cold England, deicing our cars. After a drink and walk around the gardens we walked down past the Mosque and into the main square of Marrakech. To describe most accurately it felt manic but somehow organised. We got a freshly squeezed orange juice from one of the stands, which cost just £1 and was sooo refreshing. Next we walked past the market stalls, trying to prevent harassment by the restaurants until we were at the far side of the square. Here I noticed a Monkey doing some strange performance and most notably two cobra snakes swaying to the sound of music. Surreal... very surreal! We could see a rooftop terrace which looked like the perfect vantage point for a spot of lunch. We indulged in a lamb Tagine each which was lovely. Following this I just had to try some traditional Moroccan tea and this was gorgeous, very refreshing and subtly minty. Next we walked through the souks, and I was offered anything from a new carpet to erotic massage oil.. yes I know.. everything! It was a real deep dive into the culture and whilst I probably looked a little overwhelmed on some of the video, I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. We finished our afternoon having an ice cream on another rooftop terrace, overlooking the square. With our afternoon tour finished, we headed back over to the airport in an ancient Mercedes S class, which added to the experience. I think the whole time it was quite hard for me to realise where I was... waking up this morning (next day) it almost felt like a dream. Overall then, a day trip to Marrakech is indeed possible, and it's a lot cheaper than you may think! ------------------------------------ Audio ------------------------------------ With thanks to: Bad Catholics - Astapor (Original Mix) for the soundtrack

Funny EUROSTAR experience || 5 HACKS
I have been traveling on the Eurostar a lot lately and thought I would share with you my first experience on the new Eurostar trains. Top 5 Paris Scams: Taxi Scam, Gold Ring Scam, Restaurant Scam, Metro Mugging & Street Sellers
5) The Restaurant Scam - Be careful in the very touristy areas in Paris, especially if you can’t read or speak French. When you go to a restaurant, if you want to avoid being scammed then don’t ask for the English menu, use the French one. Some restaurants will put higher prices on their English menus than they do on the French one, relying on you being a stupid tourist and not really knowing how much food should cost in Paris. I last went to Paris about three years ago, and found that you can easily eat out for between 15 and 25 euros a head, obviously you can pay more in very upmarket places, but as a rule of thumb a steak and chips isn’t going to drain your holiday money. 4) Taxi Scam - This is the only scam I’ve come close to falling for. On my first every trip to Paris about 5 years ago, me and by Girlfriend arrived at the Gare du Nord station having travelled by Eurostar from London. As soon as we got outside the station, we were faced with about three taxis directly in front of us, parked next to the pavement immediately outside of the station. All with signs on their roofs that said libra, which french for free - as in available. A man approached us and asked us where we were going. I told him, he pulled out a sheet of paper and pointed at a price (it was about 80 euros, I believe). Being new to Paris, I had no idea if this was a normal price, but I did think it was expensive. I ushered my girlfriend towards it, and she looked a little unsure. I said it was fine and I gave the bloke my bag to put in the taxi. I would have gone through with it, having not ever heard of this scam, however as he was loading the bag, then the driver kept asking me where I wanted to go and how to get there. Odd for a taxi driver - they usually know how to get places as it’s their job, especially when it’s a famous chain hotel. I then peaked into the taxi and noticed absolutely no identification for the driver or any of the usual taxi radio equipment you would expect. Glancing over to the right-hand side of the station you could see all the train travellers in a queue for the real taxi rank. Our taxi was a scam. They charge you too much and they’re not licensed. The best case is they’ll rip you off, the worse case is they’ll drive you somewhere remote and steal all your money. 3) Gold Ring or Free Gift Scam - Walking along a river side to catch a tour boat, my girlfriend and I came across a scruffy looking woman. As we passed her, she exclaimed (in English), “Oh my God, excuse me, you have dropped your ring!”. We glance around and she’s picking a ring up from the dirt. We just carried on walking, but the way this scam works is that she “gives” you the ring, but it doesn’t have to a ring, it could just be a free gift or a fortune reading or something, but then she tells you how poor and hungry her children are and asks for a little bit of money. Of course, the ring she gives you is a piece of crap and whatever you offer her isn’t enough. She’ll keep going until she gets what she thinks is reasonable, especially since the ring is worth so much! 2) Tat Scam - Not so much a scam but it’s really annoying. Go anywhere touristy, like the Louvre and you’ll see lots of people holding great big racks of souvenir stuff, like mini Eiffel towers. Truth be told, this stuff is probably no worse than things you’d buy in the shops, but you could end up paying too much and finding it difficult to be left alone. Usually, a man will approach you and ask you in English if you want to buy a gift. If you say yes, you will find it very difficult to get away from them - they will keep trying to sell you crap even if you do by the gift, and might end up following you around. And if you’re unfamiliar with how much rubbish like this should cost, you’ll end up being ripped off too. 1) Metro Scam - While most of Paris is beautiful, historical and a delight to explore, there are some less appealing areas. My girlfriend and I took the metro to an outdoor fleamarket on a rougher side of town. The area was just more run down, which wouldn’t have been a problem if we’d found any bargains at the flea market. But to be honest, this trip was just spoilt by what happened in the metro. As we arrived, a Chinese girl moved her way towards and through the metro barriers, waving her iPad in the air. At that moment, one of many pick pocketers who stand at the side of the station waiting for silly tourists like that, runs towards her and snatches the iPad from her hand. Thankfully, she screamed and held on, making the pickpocket run away. The Metro guards watch on as if everything is normal. As in every city, don’t wave expensive items around. Keep them out of side, ideally zipped up. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "5 Reasons Why I Don't Buy Lepin LEGO Clone Sets & Why I took down one of my most popular videos!" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZ2eX9vlcUQ -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-
How To Travel Around London and Buy an Oyster Card - Important Tips!
Here are some very important tips on how to travel around London and buy an oyster card. Especially if it is your first time visiting London, if you aren't careful you can end up paying a lot more for your travel so it's important you pay the right fare. You can use your oyster card or contactless payment card for lots of different types of transport on London TFL services. This includes buses, trains, tubes, Thames Clipper boats, trams and even the Emirates Airline cable cars. My favourite thing to do is to travel on the old Number 15 routemaster buses. A real icon of London. I'll show you all the tips and tricks on how to behave like a true Londoner and not to be barged out of the way by the locals when travelling on transport in London. There are other ways to pay for London Transport including Apple Pay on your iphone or with a contactless credit or debit card. But I think it's easiest to get an oyster card when you first arrive. Try to avoid buying paper tickets because they cost more!! And the buses don't accept money so you must have an oyster or credit card or apple pay. Now, a lot of my subscribers told me they really wanted to see a video on Eurostar. So that’s exactly what I went and made. I hadn’t actually been on Eurostar since around 2012, so this was a welcome return. As a kid I remember quite vividly the opening of the Channel Tunnel and the start of Eurostar service. It seemed glamorous in a way that perhaps has faded a bit, as we’ve become used to being able to easily access Europe by train. Our journey takes us, on a classic Class 373 train, east from St Pancras and straight down into Kent on High Speed 1, Britain’s first proper dedicated high speed railway. We stop briefly at Ebbsfleet International before continuing in a straight line directly towards the tunnel at Folkestone, blasting through Ashford International without stopping. After 31 miles of tunnel we pop out near Sangatte and Calais-Fréthun, and head, via Lille, to Paris. Sadly, the weather was rather grey in both Britain and France for this video! But you can’t have it all. Eurostar trains have 18 carriages with three classes of travel. 10 carriages are Standard Class, 5 are Standard Premier (what you might call a hybrid between Standard and First Class), and there’s one Business Premier carriage, where hot meals are served, and customers get flexibility and lounge access. Business Premier is really directed at the corporate traveller, and Standard Premier is probably as much as you’ll need for a good trip. The surroundings are comfortable and the ride smooth despite the age of the train. My only complaint - a weak meal service. The portion sizes are very small and the quality hit and miss. My fruit salad was not fresh, which is very disappointing. This isn’t hard to get right when you’re loading food in the middle of London. Anyways, sit back and watch the journey, and let me and the train take the strain... 👌🏻👌🏻 Make sure you have your notifications set! 🛎 Enjoy the report. _____________________________________ Do you have any ideas for future trip reports? Eurostar (Standard Class) - Paris to London
In this video, we look at my train journey from Paris Gare du Nord to London St Pancras station on board a Eurostar train. We start off checking in at the Eurostar designated section of Gare du Nord in Paris. After check-in, I proceed through immigration & security to enter the secured section of the train station. It's soon time to board. I enter my Standard Class carriage and put my trolley away on the baggage rack then take my pre-assigned seat. I review the cabin & seat, and the other on-board offerings that come with Eurostar Standard Class. We soon arrive at St Pancras station, and I quickly pass through a customs checkpoint before I take an Uber to my hotel. _________________________________________________________________ Music: Uplifting Classical | Inspiring Piano and Strings Background Music By Star Diva - Background Music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GMy4RuqMUI Emotional Sad Piano Music - Touch (Download and Royalty FREE) By Mattia Cupelli | Composer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JYHk_D5A44

SOLO TRIP TO PARIS TRAVEL VLOG | Eiffel Tower, Catacombs of Paris + Arc de Triomphe
As the semester begins to reach a close, I realized just how many days off that I let go to waste. I decided that a cancelled class on Thursday was a sign from God himself, and booked a day trip to Paris solely for the pictures and views of the Eiffel Tower. I'm in love with this city, and hope to make a return at least one more time before I go back to the United States! Eurostar London St Pancras to Paris Gare Du Nord 299kmh 186mph 🚞
We took a day trip to Paris from London, on the the #Eurostar! We took train #9004, which was scheduled to depart at 0701 but brought forward slightly to 0654. We took the London Underground to get to King's Cross St Pancras in the morning. The Eurostar terminal was bustling with activity as there were multiple trains leaving in the morning, and the departure lounge was pretty much filled up and we couldn't get seats. From the video, you can see passengers standing and waiting. I also checked out the various food options in the waiting area, including Pret a Manger. You are allowed to bring food and drink on board the Eurostar train, which was nice. Boarding started about 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time and the train left on schedule. The ride would take about 2 horus and 15 minutes, and from whatever I could see, we achieved a maximum speed of 299km/h for this ride, though we could have gone even faster at some stretches, I don't know. On board the train, Cafe Metropole was at coach number 8. (We were in coach 12). We went to coach 8 to buy Carnet tickets for the Paris transport system. Unfortunately, the tickets didn't work when we tried to use them to enter the RER station at Paris Gare Du Nord. We couldn't find any staff to help us, because the staff were on STRIKE and all the counters were closed. So we had to purchase another set of Carnet tickets from the ticket machine, which worked. In Paris, we visited the Arc de Triomphe - https://youtu.be/2HKAPhJ3osc Airline Flight Review video links: Singapore Airlines SQ318 Business Class Singapore to London Heathrow Dec 2018 - Getting iPad Pro 12.9 Smart Folio Delivered to me on Board! https://youtu.be/2sYzbsXW2S4 Norwegian Airlines Boeing 787-9 London Gatwick to Singapore in Premium Class Bright Sunny Morning! https://youtu.be/dWwDDlynXJw EVA Air in Premium Economy Hello Kitty Plane Singapore to Taipei! https://youtu.be/HzeY7zlE84s EVA Air in Premium Economy BR 215 Taipei to Singapore Oct 2015 Review https://youtu.be/XdHDgCs5GFs Singapore Airlines Business Class Shanghai to Singapore https://youtu.be/9FJVX66qYr0 Comprehensive Review of ScootBiz Singapore to Hangzhou https://youtu.be/5jUDlAUutxM Review of Singapore Airlines Exit Row Seat Airbus A350 Singapore Airlines SQ368 to Milan https://youtu.be/cCOdy19VpoI
How to See All of Paris in One Day
We walked past 18 of the biggest tourist sites in Paris and it ended up being over 18 miles. It definitely made our feet sore, but it was so, so worth it! Getting acquainted with a new city while traveling can be difficult sometimes! How much can you fit into one day? We decided the best way to get to know Paris would be to walk it on foot, so we enlisted our new friend Emy, her Youtube name is Antastesia (check out her YouTube channel here: www.youtube.com/Apn9a) who knew the city so well as our guide for the day. If you have any questions about our itinerary feel free to comment below! Sites: 1. Sacré-Cœur 2. Moulin Rouge 3.Galeries Lafayette 4.Opéra - Palais Garnier 5. Place Vendôme 6. EUROSTAR - LONDON TO PARIS TO MARSEILLE WITH KIDS ! | twoplustwocrew MAY 2015 Andrew, Sam, Oscar and Tabitha are off to the South of France...yipee! Welcome to our family trip on the Eurostar from London to Marseille. Eurostar have started a new line from London to the South of France. We usually fly but we thought it would make an interesting experience for the children and be different to travel by train. They did a £99 special so we jumped at the chance. We packed a giant packed lunch and headed off. We took one IT suitcase each, cabin bag size and one bag full of Oscars revision (he was so pleased!) as he has exams when we return! We booked some interesting accomodation on airbnb and hired a car in Marseille. Oscar is 12 and Tabitha is 9 so lets see what they make out of what turns out to be a very very long day!!! A Day In The Life: London to Paris on the Eurostar 😍 Air BnB tour | Becky Excell
London Vlog 2018 #18. It's time to travel from London to Paris on the Eurostar for my not-so-surprise birthday trip vlog! Mark and I haven't been to Paris since 2010 and we're so excited to be going back for the first time in years! We're staying in a really cool Air BnB in the St. Denis area, which Mark chose himself... he didn't do half bad! We then went on to find that Paris caters AMAZINGLY for gluten free AND dairy free (or sans gluten and sans lactose en Francais). I'm gonna do a few Parisian vlogs whilst we're here so I hope you all enjoy! I write science-fiction and fantasy, vlog daily, and love pizza a little too much. FAQ: How long have you lived in France? On and off for around three years. What do you film with? - I currently film almost exclusively with my Samsung Galaxy S8: http://amzn.to/2lPKSpZ How do you get those shots where you're walking or running? - A Joby Gorillapod for smartphones, like this: http://amzn.to/2sXNIL3 You drop your phone a lot, how does it survive? - THIS CASE IS AMAZING: http://amzn.to/2hoxgTA (Galaxy S7) - http://amzn.to/2Dt08Bu (Galaxy S8) - http://amzn.to/2FxVliP (iphone) Do you speak French? Oui. https://youtu.be/va1QjaHgij8 You talk a lot about the books you're working on, what are they about? - They're sci-fi (and fantasy) and I've got a decent pitch for you here: https://youtu.be/W2bKt4_Tp4E Do you make money off YouTube? - Ha, no. I wish. It took me over 500 videos to make my first $100 off adsense. I think it will slowly change, but VERY slowly. I really enjoy your videos, how can I support you? - The easiest and best way to support me is through Patreon, where you can pitch in as little as $1/mo to help me make better videos: http://patreon.com/jayswanson I don't trust this Patreon thing - what's your PayPal? - Here's a handy link! https://www.paypal.me/jayswanson I like PayPal in pink! - Here's my ko-fi if that's your thing (and coffee is your game): https://ko-fi.com/jayswanson But I want to send you something tangible! - I do have a wishlist on Amazon, though it's a bit complicated with the international shipping situation. This is the US one: http://amzn.to/2ykS9Ux And here's the French one: http://bit.ly/JaysFrenchWishList Can I come stay with you in Paris? - Have you seen my apartment? It's too small for me as it is! https://youtu.be/6t2qj3rdyX8 OK, but how do I use the Metro when I'm there? - I made a handy video for you: https://youtu.be/T0YS5si8bJs
