Cavinkare Success story | C.K. Ranganathan | Rs.1 Business Plan in Hindi

04:39
C K Ranganathan, chairman and managing director of CavinKare, has shown the world it is possible to beat the multinationals even in the most difficult market of fast moving consumer goods.Ranganathan's journey, which started from a small town of Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu, has been an amazing one. A business which he started with only with Rs 15,000 is now worth Rs 500 crore (Rs 5 billion). He learnt the first entrepreneurial lessons from his father, Chinni Krishnan, who started a small-scale pharmaceutical packaging unit, before moving on to manufacture pharmaceutical products and cosmetics. In an interview withrediff.com, the CavinKare chief speaks about his inspiring journey. His father, his inspirationMy father, Chinni Krishnan, an agriculturist, was also into pharmaceutical business. As I was poor in academics, he wanted me to either do agriculture or start a business. My siblings were good in studies -- two of them became doctors and another a lawyer. I was the odd one out. While my siblings studied in English medium schools, I was put in a Tamil medium school. I used to suffer from an inferiority complex because of my poor academic record.Studies did not interest me, but rearing pets did. When I was in the fifth standard, I had a lot of pets -- more than 500 pigeons, a lot of fish and a large variety of birds. I used to earn my pocket money out of pet business at that time. Perhaps, the entrepreneurial spirit in me showed its first streak. The origin of the concept of sachetsMy father died as I entered college. He had come out with the sachet concept a couple of years prior to his demise. He felt liquid can be packed in sachets as well. When talcum powder was soldonly in tin containers, he was the one who sold it in 100 gm, 50 gm and 20 gm packs. When Epsom salt came in 100 gm packets, my father brought out salt sachets of as low as 5 gm.'Whatever I make, I want the coolies and the rickshawpullers to use. I want to make my products affordable to them,' he used to say.Selling things in sachets was his motto as he said, 'this is going to be the product of the future.'But my father could not market the concept well. He moved from one innovation to another but never thought of marketing strategies. He was a great innovator, but a poor marketer. How Chik Shampoo was bornI named it Chik Shampoo after my father. The product did not succeed immediately; we learnt many things during the process. In the first month, we could sell 20,000 sachets and from thesecond year, we started making profits.I moved to Chennai in 1989 but our manufacturing unit continued to be in Cuddalore. It took me three years to get the first loan because banks asked for collateral. I did not haveany. But one particular bank gave me a loan of Rs25,000 which we rotated and later upgraded to Rs400,000, Rs 15 lakh (Rs 1.5 million), etc. #Cavinkare #success.story

Indigo Airlines Success Story | Rahul Bhatia | India's Largest passenger Airlines (in Hindi)

04:57
Travel was never the first career choice for Rahul! After completing his degree he had come back to India with an aim to set up a telecom venture with Nortel to make digital telephone exchanges. But since the government at that time, didn’t favor foreign technology, that project didn’t see the daylight. During that time, Rahul’s father used to run an airline agency called Delhi Express, which he had cofounded along with nine partners in 1964. Even though, Rahul wanted to opt for teaching as a career, looking at his father’s health he took the emotional decision of joining the family business in 1988. Towards the end of 1991, Rahul and his father discovered that some of the partners had managed to gain the majority stake in the company by secretly buying more equity in the company. Post this, Rahul and his father were asked to leave the company. All the problems falling at the same time, Rahul realized that he needed to will have to plunge into the business with full-steam, and decided to start over with $37,000 as seed capital. All he had with him was a degree along with a two-year stint at IBM. And with that in hand, he started InterGlobe! But InterGlobe wasn’t IndiGo back then. It was, what is now called InterGlobe Technologies, that took care of their IT Services and BPO section, which mainly specialized in travel, transportation, and hospitality. It started off with rough days, with cash crunches every now and then! But, the power of relationships triumphed and all the airlines whose business had been with the old company moved to InterGlobe without exception. In 1994, they also managed to gain the all-India franchise for what is now Galileo International (an airline reservation system), and then a Joint Venture with them to provide back-office services in 1999, as well. Over the period of time, he transformed it into a conglomerate with interests in travel technology, hospitality, business jets, and retail, etc…! While at it, Rahul also developed a close friendship with Rakesh Gangwal (CEO, US Airways). This is when he started to make ground for the next leap of starting his own airline. Rahul and his father had been talking about starting an airline, but Rakesh was somehow hesitant of getting into the business, due to the high mortality rate of the industry. The persistent man that he was, Rahul waited till he convinced Rakesh. Once he was convinced, the together they applied for the airline license in 2004 and started IndiGo Airlines! How did he build the IndiGo Empire? The airline license was acquired in 2004, but the company didn’t take off until 2006! IndiGo was a jointly owned entity by Rahul Bhatia of InterGlobe Enterprises and Rakesh Gangwal of Caelum Investments. InterGlobe owned 51.12% stake and Caelum Investments held 48% in IndiGo. With aviation, fuel prices soaring, and the rupee dropping, these were some of the most difficult days for the Indian airline industry. When industry leaders like Kingfisher Airlines, SpiceJet and Jet, were bleeding money, Rahul took a bold step to enter the market at such a time. To top that, he made headlines and shocked everyone when he went shopping and ordered 100 Airbus A320-200 aircraft, at $6.5 billion at the Paris Air Show in 2005. This was when IndiGo had not even been launched. #IndigoAirlines #RahulBhatia #EconimcalAirlines Share, Support, Subscribe !!! Royal Enfield Bullet Success Story | Siddhartha Lal | (in Hindi)

03:28
Royal Enfield needs no introduction! For any company, success is not a one night game. It depends on market share, profitability, and category substitution. We have learned about companies suffering from many problems at first but then with perfect planning and strategies have emerged out to be the best. The Backdrop It was before 2000 that Royal Enfield was losing its customers and failing to achieve new customer base. Reason being people were happy with the traditional bullet bikes and were not in a position to welcome new innovations in the bike that Enfield bought. That was when in 2000 when the board of directors at Eicher Motors decided to either shut down or sell off Royal Enfield – the company’s Chennai-based motorcycle division. Productions lessened to 2000 bikes when the capacity was 6000 units. Not only that there were complaints about the engine seizures, snapping of the accelerator or clutch cables, electrical failures, and oil leakages. Many found it too heavy to handle. The Man Who Stood But there was only one man who decided to stand high and asked for two years of grace period. Siddhartha Lal, a third generation member of the Delhi-based Lal family, promoters of the Eicher group of companies convinced his father that he can make things work. He himself was an Enfield lover. From selling 25,000 bikes in 2005 to selling 300,000 bikes in 2014 Lal has done all. Now it also exports worldwide having a reach to almost 6,000 units each year. But with the coming of the global brand, Harley Davidson in the Indian market, Enfield must face a tough competition. It will be good to look forward to how Lal and his team maintain the brand equity and build the market more. #RoyalEnfield #Bullet #SuccessStory Share, Support, Subscribe !!! MakeMyTrip Success Story | Deep Kalra Biography | Online Travel Business (In Hindi)

05:49
The pioneer of online travels in India; Deep Kalra is the proud founder of Gurgaon based – MakeMyTrip.com. The Million-dollar MakeMyTrip in a nutshell, is an Indian online travel company which provides online travel services like flight tickets, domestic and international holiday packages, hotel reservations, rail and bus tickets, etc. Speaking of his qualification; Deep holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, after which he went on to pursue his Masters in Business Administration degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A). Deep’s career started soon after he completed his Masters with IIM-A & went on to work for companies like GE Capital, ABN AMRO Bank, etc! Now back in 1995, Deep Kalra took a huge risk by quitting his stable & good-paying but boring job at ABN Bank to join AMF Bowling – an American company that was hoping to enter the Indian market to set up bowling alleys and billiard halls. He put in all that he had and managed to open more than 200 lanes, most of them in small centers. What was even worse was that the venture wasn’t really his own thing, and he had a remote boss back in America who threw him in the market without giving him the appropriate mentorship or guidance. Evidently, for obvious reasons, this did not appeal to him and he also realized that they were all not worth his talent. He needed something more to showcase the same! At the same time, he noticed that the Internet industry was growing at the speed of fire and held a lot that could be capitalized on! Having said that, he quit his job & began the old-age brainstorming session! He saw that, with all the brokers, the agents & middlemen in place, the online travel booking industry was messier than a man’s bedroom! Hence, with a backing of USD 2-Million from eVentures and along with co-founders like – Keyur Joshi, Rajesh Magow and Sachin Bhatia, deep began his newfound journey with MakeMyTrip.com (earlier known as India Ahoy) in 2000. Now initially, he had also seen that the Indian market was yet to evolve & mature, when it came to the internet industry and playing it safe seemed far more viable than otherwise! Hence, he started off by catering to the overseas Indian community for their US-to-India travel needs. Anyways just within two years from their launch, their business got jinxed and the dot-com market crashed, taking down everything they had begun to make! This was a very hard time for them and literally everyone who belonged to the internet market. VC’s weren’t ready to touch the internet industry. Their VC, who once ready to offer any hefty capital they demanded, now wasn’t even ready to give USD 1-million. The situation was so bad that in order to save the company, Deep had to take some very harsh decisions. They had to reduce their employee strength by a literal half, and what was even worse was that he also had to let go of their & few other top-management employee’s salaries for the next 18-months. Their business now had begun to pick up & was reaching a decent customer base. That is when IRCTC (Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation) launched their first online business model which enabled the Indian traveler to purchase railway tickets on the Internet. But the biggest news that came to light was their listing on NASDAQ, in August 2010! #MakeMytrip @Online_hotel_Booking #Online_Travel Share, Support, Subscribe !!! Shahnaz Husain | Beauty Queen of India | Herbal Products | Biography (in Hindi)

05:27
Shahnaz Husain is the daughter of the late Nasirullah Beg, former Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court. Beyond that, almost all the men of her family were either Chief Justices or Senior Politicians. She was born in Samarkhand, to a Royal Muslim family and because of an influential father and family name, she got the opportunity to complete her schooling in an Irish convent school. During that time, she developed a sudden inclination towards poetry and English Literature. But before anything could be done about that, she was engaged when at the age of 14 and subsequently married at 16. She even gave birth to Nelofar in the same year itself. And although she always knew that, she was never meant to be a regular housewife, but eventually the routine of a housewife started to set in. But Shahnaz being different decided to beat the odds and began studying beauty from the very next year. And over the next ten years, she also went on from London to Paris, Germany, Denmark to New York, to achieve the ultimate. Life In Tehran Ten years later at the age of 27, she had to move as her husband was got posted in Tehran as head of Foreign Trade with the STC. Now she needed money for higher education, but because she couldn’t speak Persian, finding a job turned out to be very difficult. After immense efforts, she finally got the opportunity to work as a Beauty Editor of Iran Tribune. She wrote on literally every topic one could think of, and gave 10,000 words a week, when the target was only 500 words. Gradually, her confidence began to rise, and so did her income. Later, because her handwriting was difficult to read, she was asked to type the whole thing, and being new to typing, she hurt her fingers. But her determination to earn her way to higher education kept her going on. During her stay there, while she dealt with skin disorders, she noticed that most of these problems were mainly due to the inclusion of synthetic cosmetics. That is when it clicked to her that, why shouldn’t she take up the task and fix it by producing the same from herbs. At that point, she had two options; either start with a private clinic for human cosmetic cures, or simply enter the market with better cosmetic products. She ended up choosing to start a herbal clinic, with a thought that, certainly it would bring in lesser money, but would definitely gain her a sense of satisfaction. Hence, after 2 years of specialization in cosmetology and trichology, she decided to come back to her homeland. Upon returning back to India in 1977, she first set up her own salon at her house in Delhi, by borrowing Rs.35,000 from her father, but at the same time she also converted a veranda of her house into a clinic, as well. The good thing was that, she already had the technology and the relevant gadgets from abroad. And by introducing a totally new concept of “care and cure”, along with formulation of her own Ayurvedic products, she began with Shahnaz Herbals Inc. #ShahnazHusain #Herbal_products Share, Support, Subscribe !!! Pokemon Success Story | Satoshi Tajiri | Inspirational Story ( In Hindi )

05:25
Mention the name Satoshi Tajiri to your average video gamer and the most likely response will be a pregnant pause, followed by a shrug or a blank look. His is not a name that rings out in everyday conversations surrounding digital entertainment. And yet, the 52-year-old mastermind behind Pokemon is one of the most important creative figures of the modern age. The tale of Satoshi Tajiri is one so inspirational that it demands its very own movie adaptation – a hero from humble beginnings who would struggle against persistent adversity, all the while staying true to his passions, before eventually going on to create a video game that changed the world. But long before Pokemon made its debut on Game Boy in Japan in 1996, there was a little boy from Machida, Tokyo, who loved to collect bugs. When Tajiri was growing up, Machida, situated in the west of the Japanese capital, was still a comparatively rural chunk of the city. It was a perfect spot for Machida to indulge his love of catching and collecting insects, a hobby he became so synonymous with that his childhood friends would give him the nickname ‘Dr. Bug’. As he entered adolescence, he left the green idylls of his youth behind to focus on a new obsession – arcade games. The timing was perfect, as Japan was experiencing the arcade game boom. Spearheading this brave new world was Taito’s landmark title Space Invaders, a game which Tajiri adored so much that an arcade boss gave him his very own cabinet as a gift after he’d pumped gargantuan quantities of 100 yen coins into the machine. At the time, Tajiri’s studies were suffering, owing to what we now know was high-functioning autism. His teachers, adhering to the Japanese belief in massive effort irrespective of circumstance or ability, did not recognize the tell-tale signs of Tajiri’s condition and simply wrote him off as a lazy student. There are plenty of life lessons in Tajiri’s story; the virtues of wanting to perpetuate joy, the rewards of hard graft, and the triumph in transcending one’s limitations. He still works on the series to this day as an executive producer. The little boy who played in the fields on the edge of Tokyo is now one of the most respected creators in his field, thanks to a world-changing idea that he never gave up on, no matter what. Biotique Product Success Story | Vinita Jain | Ayurveda & Natural Products ( In Hindi )

04:07
Vinita Jain was born in Kolkata and reared amongst the mountains of Assam and Darjeeling, where her grandfather owned tea plantations and the nearest hospital was at least 500 km away. She was thus used to a simpler life when homegrown medicines made out of therapeutic plants were an infallible cure to anything from health problems to personal care. But these simple alleviations held timeless truths, and the more she learned, the more she found herself indulging its possibilities. Upon graduating from the University of Delhi in 1990, Vinita Jain's passion and intrigue for the 5,000-year-old discipline of plant medicine had peaked. She was certain she was on to something big if she found a way to adapt it with modern needs. It took her to Switzerland for independent research in biotechnology, where she teamed up with some doctors and dermatologists, studied the ancient scriptures of ayurveda, the Charak Samhita and Bhagbhat Nikanthu. The final brick in the wall was a marketing course from Stanford University, California, in 1994.After that, she was confident enough of her research to dive head-first into entrepreneurship with no training wheels, in 1992, with an initial investment of Rs 10 crore, and a team of six doctors. Vinita thus erected Bio Veda Action Research, the tangible rendition of her school of thought of wellness induced by Ayurveda's wheatgerm, musk root, nutmeg and hibiscus, combined with cutting-edge biotechnology. The curious case of Biotique All babies are born with flawless skin. By applying Biotique from as early as possible, Vinita Jain claims that you can preserve that flawlessness forever. With a factory in Himachal Pradesh and R&D facility in Switzerland, Biotique started an export unit retailing their ayurvedic gems in the Swiss market, where they were instantly embraced and successfully sold at price five to eight times higher than the Indian standards. “When we started retailing in Switzerland, making in India and selling in Switzerland was unheard of. It was our big achievement,” she recalls. After this grand litmus test, the company was finally homeward bound in 1994. In the 24 years of its existence, Biotique has grown to establishing 15,000 points of sale, 4,000 multi-brand outlets and exports to Spain, US, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Malaysia, Nepal, Sri Lanka Belgium, Singapore apart from Switzerland. It clocks a turnover of Rs 600 crore. In fact, their international sales account for 65 percent of their business volume. Entrepreneurs have the great privilege of being in the position to automatically give back, through education and training, which is very important in a country like India. In line with that, her company employs over 3,000 people, 75 percent of which are women. “I believe women need to give priority to their careers and themselves today,” she states. #Biotique #Ayurveda&NaturalProducts Share, Support, Subscribe !!! IKEA Business Model | Case Study | How IKEA earns? | Complete Story Ingvar Feodor Kamprad was born on 30 March 1926, on a small farm called Elmtaryd near the village of Agunnaryd, in the Swedish province of Småland. To most present-day Swedes, the date and the names, in a famously rural region, resound of harsher times, when Sweden was agrarian and poor. They speak of hard work, frugality, and egalitarianism rooted in shared poverty – values which would eventually enter the IKEA ethos. Kamprad began his career at the age of six, selling matches. When just ten, he crisscrossed the neighborhood on his bicycle, selling Christmas decorations, fish and pencils. At 17, in 1943, Kamprad’s father rewarded him with a small sum of money for doing well in school, despite being dyslexic. With it, Ingvar founded a business named IKEA, an abbreviation for Ingvar Kamprad from Elmtaryd, Agunnaryd, his boyhood home. Two years after starting IKEA, Kamprad began using milk trucks to deliver his goods. In 1947, he started selling furniture made by local manufacturers. By 1955, manufacturers began boycotting IKEA, protesting against Kamprad’s low prices. This forced him to design items in-house. In that vein, Kamprad unpopularly moved IKEA headquarters from Sweden to Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1973 to avoid unfavorable business taxes for his growing company. He also moved himself and his family to Switzerland to protest Sweden's increasing taxes. But the corporation is now based in the Netherlands, and Kamprad himself has since returned to Sweden. Kamprad was also behind the simple, yet revolutionary innovation that is the flat pack. He began selling IKEA products in flat-pack form, from his own warehouses. Thus the basic IKEA concept – simple, affordable flat-pack furniture, designed, distributed and sold in-house – was complete. The driving idea behind IKEA was, and is, that anyone should be able to afford stylish, modernist furniture. Kamprad felt he was not just cutting costs and making money, but serving the people as well. Kamprad’s business grew. And grew. IKEA expanded throughout Sweden, to Norway and Denmark, via Germany to continental Europe, and on to the ends of the world. When IKEA opened in Shanghai, 80,000 people visited the store. Today, there are over 300 IKEA stores in the world – in 38 countries. All this time, Kamprad has never borrowed money or issued a stock. Anecdotes about Kamprad abound. When his father complained that Ingvar slept late in the morning, Ingvar got himself an alarm clock, set it for six o’clock, and yanked away the off button. According to Kamprad, we should all divide our lives ‘into 10-minute units, and sacrifice a few of them as possible in meaningless activity.’ Music provided by Audio Library https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1StjgRTfJg4 #IKEAHyderabad #RetailFurniture Share, Support, Subscribe !!! Airbnb Success story in Hindi | Online Hotel Booking | Brian Chesky | Joe Gebbia

04:17
A‌i‌r‌b‌n‌b‌,‌ ‌I‌n‌c‌.‌ is a privately held global company headquartered in San Francisco that operates an online marketplace and hospitality service which is accessible via its websites and mobile apps. Members can use the service to arrange or offer lodging, primarily homestays, or tourism experiences. The company does not own any of the real estate listings, nor does it host events; as a broker, it receives commissions from every booking. Shortly after moving to San Francisco in October 2007, roommates and former schoolmates Brian Chesky and Joe Gebbia could not afford the rent for their loft apartment. Chesky and Gebbia came up with the idea of putting an air mattress in their living room and turning it into a bed and breakfast. The goal at first was just "to make a few bucks". In February 2008, Nathan Blecharczyk, Chesky's former roommate, joined as the Chief Technology Officer and the third co-founder of the new venture, which they named AirBed & Breakfast. They put together a website which offered short-term living quarters, breakfast, and a unique business networking opportunity for those who were unable to book a hotel in the saturated market. The site Airbedandbreakfast.com officially launched on August 11, 2008. The founders had their first customers in town in the summer of 2008, during the Industrial Design Conference held by Industrial Designers Society of America, where travelers had a hard time finding lodging in the city. To help fund the site, the founders created special edition breakfast cereals, with presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain as the inspiration for "Obama O's" and "Cap'n McCains". In two months, 800 boxes of cereal were sold at $40 each, which generated more than $30,000 for the company's incubation. It also got the company noticed by computer programmer Paul Graham, who invited the founders to the January 2009 winter training session of his startup incubator, Y Combinator, which provided them with training and $20,000 in funding in exchange for a small interest in the company. With the website already built, they used the $20,000 Y-Combinator investment to fly to New York City to meet users and promote the site. They returned to San Francisco with a profitable business model to present to West Coast investors. By March 2009, the site had 10,000 users and 2,500 listings. #Airbnb #Onlinehotelbooking Share, Support, Subscribe !!! Mcdonald's Success Story In Hindi | Top Interesting Facts | Ray Kroc Biography (In Hindi )

05:15
Did you know that over 65 million people eat at McDonald’s every day? Did you know that McDonald’s company serves over 100 million burgers every single day? Did you know that one of the world’s largest restaurant chains grew from a small family restaurant in a California town? McDonald’s may be the world’s most well-known restaurant today, but it wasn’t always a huge global success. Founded by Richard and Maurice McDonald in the early 1940s, McDonald’s pioneered the ‘Speedee Service System’ – a simple method of preparing hamburgers that used production line efficiency in a restaurant. The service and the restaurant, which served up simple hamburgers and family meals in a small California town, proved to be a hit. Tired of waiting for hours for their food in other nearby restaurants, visitors flocked to the brothers’ restaurant for tasty, affordable food that arrived at their tables in mere minutes. Despite its success, however, it took McDonald’s a surprisingly long time to become one of the world’s top restaurant brands. The company only filed for a trademark in 1961, describing itself as a ‘drive-through restaurant’ and introducing its mascot – Ronald McDonald – in the same year. Today, McDonald’s maintains over 34,000 restaurants around the world. #McDonald's #SuccessStory Share, Support, Subscribe !!! Oreo Biscuits Success Story | Oreo Milkshake | Mondelez International ( in Hindi )

04:19
On March 6, 2012, the famous cookie brand, Oreo, celebrated its 100th birthday. From humble beginnings in a Nabisco bakery in New York City, Oreo has grown to become the bestselling cookie brand of the 21st century generating $1.5 billion in global annual revenues. Currently owned by Kraft Foods Inc, Oreo is one of the company's dozen billion-dollar brands. Until the mid-1990s, Oreo largely focused on the US market - as reflected in one of its popular advertising slogans from the 1980s, "America's Best Loved Cookie". But the dominant position in the US limited growth opportunities and spurred Kraft to turn to international markets. With China and India representing possibly the jewels in the crown of international target markets due to their sheer size, Oreo was launched in China in 1996. The China launch was based on the implicit assumption that what made it successful in its home market would be a winning formula in any other market. However, after almost a decade in China, Oreo cookies were not a hit as anticipated, according to Lorna Davis, in charge of the global biscuit division at Kraft. And the team even considered pulling Oreo out of the Chinese market altogether. Oreo developed a launch strategy around taking on existing market leaders in the cream segment - Britannia, Parle, and ITC. Internally, they even have an acronym for this strategy - TLD (Take Leaders Down). The focus was to target the top 10 million households which account for 70 percent of cream biscuit consumption. Oreo launched in India in March 2011. It entered the market as Cadbury Oreos because Cadbury is a stronger brand name than Kraft, and initially focused on generating awareness and rapid trials. The product was sweetened to suit the Indian palate and Kraft exploited Cadbury's network of 1.2 million stores. The Made in India tag meant using locally-sourced ingredients, modification of the recipe to suit Indian tastes and possibly cheaper ingredients, a smaller size and competitive prices. Oreo launched its traditional chocolate cookie with vanilla cream at Rs 5 for a pack of three to drive impulse purchases and trials, Rs 10 for a pack of seven and Rs 20 for a pack of 14 for heavy usage. The cookie looks the same as its international counterpart with a motif of 12 florets and 12 dashes. #Oreo #Oreo_Milkshake #FMCG Share, Support, Subscribe !!! Redbus Success Story | Online Bus Ticket Services | Phaninder Sama (In Hindi)

04:02
It all began in the year 2005 when Phanindra a.k.a. Phani was working as a Sr. Designer with Texas Instruments, Bangalore. Phani planned to spend the Diwali with his family in Hyderabad but destiny had something else written for him. Due to Bangalore’s notorious traffic, he couldn’t make it on time to book his tickets and unfortunately missed his bus. Frustrated! He came back. But this gave him a life-changing idea! He realized some key issues with the then-existing bus model and found internet as the best medium for solving these issues by putting together information on a platform where customers could access it easily and take better decisions. So he shared his story along with the idea that he got with his friends and future cofounders Charan Padmaraju and Sudhakar Pasupunuri via email and after they came back, with a collective funding of INR 5 lakhs from their savings they started building a portal. This was the beginning of redBus! One of the rooms of the house they stayed in became their office. Once it was ready, they went to different travel agents to get a tie-up for seats in the buses and after zillions of refusal on August 18th, 2006; they finally got their first five seats from a travel agent. “If you sell 5 seats in one week, its fine; if you don’t, don’t bother me again!” – were his words. So in desperation, they went out to market themselves and landed outside IT companies and distributed their redBus cards to the employees during lunch hours. On 22nd August 2006, they managed to sell their first seat for Tirupati, to a woman who was working with Infosys and also managed to sell the rest of the four tickets within the five-day span. From here onward their business took-off! Now at that time, their whole concept was to create a software, sell it to bus operators and give the money to some NGO. But they were amazed to see that none of the bus operators were ready to take it for free also. But in the year 2006, they got a major leap when they got selected for the TiE Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program. They gave them three mentors to advise them on what to do and how to start a business of their own. These mentors helped them make their business what it was. They gave them assignments for every week wherein they had to do a market survey of the number of buses, the number of routes, the average price of a ticket, how people buy tickets, the profile of customers, how much commission a bus operator pays to an agent, etc. As a whole, they helped them get a generalized idea of the industry. That was the time they suddenly became very famous and VC’s started contacting them. But as good students, they asked their mentors for advice! Take the money and begin developing the idea – were their words! So they did!!! Funnily, their initial asking was for INR 3 million and when one of the VC’s spent hours with them revising the plan, that figure multiplied to INR 30 million which was finally agreed on. And in February 2007, they got their first ever funding from SeedFund, which would be invested in a span of three years. They very intelligently used the money to form the company, hire more efficient staffing and most importantly for setting up the official premises. They slowly managed to grab the whole market, they now had 500 partnerships with bus and tour operators for 5000 routes. It covered 15 states primarily in South, West and North India and had also expanded to Central, North-East and East India. They also launched more packages to make it lucrative. #Redbus #Onlinebusticket Share, Support, Subscribe !!! कोशिश करने वालों की कभी हार नहीं होती || Best Motivational Inspiring Video for Success ||

Anything is possible if you have the dedication and determination to work past life's obstacles...
