Oster Pro 1200 Blender -- To-Go Cup Smoothie Demo

07:17
In this video I make a green smoothie in the Pro 1200 To-Go cup using all of the same ingredients as was used in the Dual Action model. I also noticed that the Pro 1200 blender did not move around at all during the blending cycle, unlike the Dual Action demo. But both blenders/to-go cups made very smooth, drinkable smoothies. DIY: Homemade MoM Deodorant

08:57
In this video I show how I make my homemade roll-on deodorant using 2 ingredients; Milk of Magnesia and essential oil. It is very effective, inexpensive and easy to make! You can also leave it unscented by not adding anything else to your roll-on bottle other than the MoM. When shopping for your MoM, make sure to read the "inactive ingredients" to AVOID the ingredient; sodium hypochorite. This is bleach. You don't want that in your pores. :( I hope this is helpful if you want to start making your own homemade deodorant. Smart-Cat All-Natural Kitty Litter Review

11:28
In this video I review Smart-Cat kitty litter made by a company called, Pioneer Pet. For more product information, visit their website: www.pioneerpet.com. To my knowledge, (at the time of this review), this litter is not currently available in large pet store chains or big box stores. For a list of pet stores, go to the store locator page on the website to find where it's available in your area. It can also be purchased directly from the pioneerpet.com website, as well as amazon.com & chewy.com. I don't normally do reviews of any kind on kitty litter but this product impressed me so much that I wanted to share it with you! Also, if you are thinking about adopting a cat, or adding one more to your household, please visit your local animal shelter. There are many, many cats of all ages, shapes, sizes, & breeds available, waiting desperately for loving, forever homes. :) My channel contains video reviews of products I own & have purchased with my own money. Side-by-Side Cuisinart Burr Coffee Grinder Comparison

12:16
In this video I demonstrate a side by side comparison of my 2 Cuisinart coffee grinders. The DBM-8 which has flat, ceramic style burrs, and the CBM-18 which has stainless steel conical shaped burrs. Both grinders do a nice, consistent job of grinding coffee. There are a few differences, ie: the DBM-8's flat burrs tend to spin faster and create more heat while grinding which can affect the delicate flavor molecules. The CBM-18's steel conical burrs spin more slowly which create less heat, preserving more of the flavor molecules. I hope this video is helpful to anyone shopping for a new coffee grinder and may be considering a Cuisinart model. Almond Butter in the Oster Pro 1200 Blender

09:39
This is my first attempt to make almond butter in this blender. It took a much shorter amount of time compared to my Cuisinart food processor. And, strangely enough, neither the almond butter or my blender became hot as a result, (only slightly warm), unlike my Vitamix which is not any faster at making this butter and becomes so hot it steams. **DO NOT USE ANY UTENSILS INSIDE THE BLENDER WHILE IT'S RUNNING!** I was a little impatient...sorry. Side-by-Side Waffle Maker Comparison

05:30
In this video I compare the 800 watt Farberware 2 slice waffle maker with the 1100 watt Presto Flipside model. I used the same waffle batter for both machines. The Farberware model baked for 6-1/2 minutes while the Presto Flipside baked for 4 minutes. Recipe used: "Oh-Boy!" Waffles (from Better Homes & Gardens New Cookbook) 2-1/4 c. A.P. Flour 4 t. Baking Powder 3/4 t. salt 1-1/2 T. sugar 2 eggs 2-1/4 c. milk, (buttermilk can be substituted) 1/2 c. vegetable oil In a large mixing bowl, sift all dry ingredients together, set aside. In a medium bowl, beat the eggs, then add milk and vegetable oil, whisk to combine. Add egg mixture all at once to dry ingredients. Whisk batter until moistened, it's okay if it's a little bit lumpy. Oster Pro 1200 Blender---Blending Chickpeas Into Flour

08:35
In this video I make chickpea flour using my Oster Pro 1200 blender. It did a great job grinding dry chickpeas in just a few minutes. As I mentioned in the video, make sure the inside of your blender jar is completely dry before grinding any type of grains, rice, beans, etc. Also, if you grind dry foods in 1 cup increments, you will get a much more uniform flour and will take less time to do as well as preventing your blender's motor from overheating. :) My channel contains video reviews of products I own & have purchased with my own money. Coffee Grinder Cleaning--Bodum Bistro Conical Burr Grinder

11:27
In this video I clean my Bodum Bistro Burr Coffee Grinder using Minute Rice. I wanted to do this demo when I saw how easy it is for this grinder model to become clogged around the chute. I tried all kinds of small & pointed brushes/tools as well as canned, compressed air to remove the fine grounds but wasn't able to get them all out until I ran Minute Rice through it. It works like a charm to remove all the coffee grounds and oils left behind by oily beans! :) Here is a link to a video showing how to place the upper burr back into the machine: www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4_YZqp9aRg My channel contains video reviews of products I own & have purchased with my own money. Hamilton Beach Waffle Maker Review + Demo

08:24
In this video I review and demonstrate my Hamilton Beach waffle maker, model: 26009. It has 650 watts and makes 2 square, Belgian~style waffles at a time. The finished waffles are approximately 3/4" thick. They come out nice and crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. It's a small unit that's perfect for small kitchens, small families, singles or college dorms. It's also great for waffling other foods like grilled cheese, cinnamon rolls, etc... I've included my own homemade waffle recipe here which I used in the video: Homemade Buttermilk Waffles 1 c. All Purpose Flour 1/4 c. Cornstarch 2 t. Baking Powder 1 t. Baking Soda 1/2 t. salt 2 T. Sugar 1/2 c. Melted Coconut Oil ~or~ Melted Butter 1 c. Buttermilk 1 Egg Preheat your waffle maker. Preheat your oven to 200F. In a medium mixing bowl whisk together all of the dry ingredients, make a well in the center and set aside. In a small bowl mix together the buttermilk and oil. Add the egg to the milk mixture and whisk to incorporate. Pour the milk mixture into the well of the dry ingredients and whisk just until all dry ingredients are moistened. A few lumps are ok. Do not overmix the batter. When waffle iron is up to temperature, lightly oil the top and bottom grates, then add batter. (The Hamilton Beach model takes slightly less than 1/2 cup per side of the waffle grates.) Bake until golden, about 3-4 minutes. When finished, transfer waffles to warm oven and lay them directly on the oven rack. (If waffles are placed on a plate or pan, the bottoms will become soggy.) ENJOY! Cinnamon Swirl Bread In The Regal Bread Machine--PART 1

16:39
In this video I demonstrate how I make my homemade cinnamon swirl bread entirely in my bread machine. There is only a small amount of hands-on work to make this delicious bread! I hope you give it a try. :) Sorry for the abrupt end to this video, my camera decided to turn off suddenly. :( PLEASE continue with Part 2 to see the end result. For best results, make sure all ingredients are room temperature. Here is my recipe for the bread: Cinnamon Swirl Bread Machine Bread (Makes a 1lb Loaf) 3/4 c. (177ml) Buttermilk 1 Egg 2 t. (10ml) Unsalted Butter 1 c. (237ml) Bread Flour 1 c. (237ml) Whole Wheat Pastry Flour 1 T. (15ml) Honey 3/4 t. (3.7ml) Salt 1 t. (5ml) Ground Cinnamon 1 t. (5ml) Active Dry Yeast Filling: 3 T. (45ml) Light Brown Sugar 2 t. (10ml) Ground Cinnamon 1 T. (15ml) A.P. or Bread Flour *Optional--1/2 c. (118ml) Raisins (Mix filling ingredients in a small bowl and set aside until ready to fill the dough.) Begin by adding liquid/wet ingredients to the bread machine loaf pan. Add all remaining ingredients, adding the yeast last. Place pan into bread machine and run on "dough" cycle. **Check the dough's progress during the first few minutes of the mixing cycle to make sure texture is correct. If it looks very shaggy with lots of flour along the sides of the pan, add a little water, 1 T. at a time, letting dough absorb it before adding more. If it's too wet and looks more like batter than dough, add a little bit more flour, 1T. at a time and allow the machine to work it in before adding more, until it looks smooth and pulls together into a ball. When cycle is complete, remove dough to a well floured work surface. Using floured hands, gently pat dough out to a rectangle approximately 12-14" (30-35cm) long. Use a rolling pin if needed to roll dough a bit thinner. Sprinkle filling evenly over dough spreading with your hands. Starting at the short end, tightly roll up, tucking in side edges as you go. Seal edges together. Turn rolled dough over so seam is on the bottom. Pinch ends and tuck them under loaf. Remove paddle from bread pan and lightly spray post with cooking spray. Using both hands, lower the dough into the pan and gently pat it towards the corners. Return pan to bread machine but DO NOT plug it in! Close lid and allow dough to rise for 45-60 minutes or until doubled in size. After dough has risen, plug machine in and use the "bake" cycle to finish loaf, about 60 minutes. When bread is done, remove from pan and allow to cool on cooling rack for at least 30 minutes before slicing. This may take a fair amount of willpower! :D I hope you give this recipe a try, it is delicious!! My channel contains video reviews of products I own & have purchased with my own money. In this video I demonstrate how I clean my waffle iron after cooking foods that leave a sticky residue. ie: Meat, cheese, berries, chocolate chips, or other sugary things that leave a burnt on crust. **I use approx. 1/4 cup of water for my Belgian waffle iron however, if you have a smaller or shallower iron like the Cuisinart Classic, use just 1 or 2 Tablespoons to prevent scalding as too much water could cause burns or damage to your waffle iron. :) Always unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely before cleaning with brushes, paper towels, etc. My channel contains video reviews of products I own & have purchased with my own money. He did come with some issues that needed to be addressed to help him become more comfortable and secure. He is doing great! I hope to get some more videos up soon! Thanks for watching! :) My channel contains video reviews of products I own & have purchased with my own money. Cuisinart Burr Coffee Grinder---Addressing Static Cling

10:02
In this video I demonstrate how to eliminate up to 80% of the static cling common with burr coffee grinders. By simply lining the plastic grounds collection cup with aluminum foil, you can reduce the static charge making coffee grinding a less messy & annoying experience. :) My channel contains video reviews of products I own & have purchased with my own money. Side by Side: Oster Dual-Action & Pro 1200 Blenders-Part 1

11:32
Dry Blending---Grinding Wheat Berries Into Flour In this video I make whole wheat flour in both of my Oster blenders. I wanted to show that they can do dry grinding as well. Since these are not high powered blenders, be sure to blend for only 1 to 2 minutes at a time to let the motor rest and cool down periodically. Also, it's helpful to have a second blade assembly on hand for this purpose because over time, the hard grains will dull the blades. I checked the Oster website for these 2 particular blade assemblies and they are listed at the same price of $7.99 ea. DIY: Homemade Liquid Laundry Detergent

13:01
I'm adding some of my favorite DIY videos to my channel! In this first video, I demonstrate how I make my homemade laundry detergent using just 3 ingredients + water. It saves money & it works great for washing as well as stain removal. Here is my recipe: 1 Bar Fels Naptha Laundry Soap 1 Clean (New) 5 gallon paint bucket w/lid 2 cups Arm & Hammer Washing Soda (NOT baking soda) 1 cup 20 Mule Team Powdered Borax Start by grating the soap either on a box grater or in a food processor. Add the grated soap to a medium sized pot along with enough hot water to cover. Stir to dissolve, or heat on stove using the lowest heat setting. Watch it carefully and stir just until all the soap is melted into the water. DO NOT LET IT BOIL. Set aside. Add about 6" of very hot tap water to the bucket along with the washing soda and borax. Stir until all powder is dissolved. Add the melted soap to the bucket and stir to combine. Fill the bucket to about 3" below the rim with more hot tap water. Stir, then cover and let sit overnight. The next day the detergent will have partially solidified into a gel-like consistency. Using an long spoon or yardstick, break up the gel and stir. Consistency will resemble cottage cheese. If you prefer it smoother, you can use a paint stirrer bit attached to a power drill to blend. To use: add 1/4 cup to each load of laundry. 1/2 cup can be used for extra large loads like; bed linens, towels or comforters. This is a very low sudsing detergent so don't be tempted to add more because you don't see any suds! My channel contains video reviews of products I own & have purchased with my own money. Oster Dual-Action Blender -- To-Go Cup Smoothie Demo

05:06
In this video I demonstrate how to use the to-go cup that's included with this blender. It works very well however, it is much lighter weight than the glass blending jar so I needed to hold it in place while the blender was running. The motor base was also moving around a bit. Primula Cold Brew & Travel--Brew Results

10:00
In this video I show the results after brewing my first batch of coffee in the Primula Cold Brew & Travel system. I steeped the coffee in my refrigerator for 22 hours. I used my favorite French Roast whole bean coffee using a medium/drip grind fineness on the Cuisinart DBM-8 burr mill grinder. The result was a smooth, chocolatey drink with no bitterness or acidic aftertaste. I give this product 2 thumbs up! :) Here is the link to the brewer: https://www.worldmarket.com/product/cold+brew+coffee+maker+and+travel+bottle.do?sortby=ourPicks My channel contains video reviews of products I own & have purchased with my own money. Handy Caddy Review--1 YEAR UPDATE

05:10
In this video I update my original review of the "As Seen On TV- Handy Caddy", rolling shelf. It has been just over 1 year since I purchased this device and it's still functioning very well. I still give this product 2 thumbs up and recommend it for any small appliance. After filming this video, I weighed my espresso machine and it's 20 lbs with the tank 1/4 full! So the Handy Caddy can definitely handle most small appliances, of which many do not weigh half that much! My channel contains video reviews of products I own & have purchased with my own money. "THE SKrAPr" Review

08:38
In this video I review the SKrAPr tool. It's a solid resin tool that has a beveled edge for removing stickers, labels, cooked on foods from cookware & stovetops. It also cleans ceramic, hardwood, glass, granite & marble surfaces, as well as ice from car windshields. The smaller SKrAPr Jr. can be used to remove melted wax on surfaces, opening cartons, scratch-off lottery tickets & removing ice from car mirrors. It comes with a sanding disc, (SKrAPr PAPr), to re-sharpen the edges of both tools. With this tool you can clean surfaces without harsh chemicals, just add a bit of water and scrape! Milk Frother Comparison: Bodum vs Primula

11:54
In this video I review & compare 2 new milk frothers: the Bodum Schiuma & the Primula Chrome Finish. They both use 2, AA batteries which are only included with the Primula model. They both retail for $6.99 however, I was able to purchase the Primula model on sale for $4.99. Both frothers performed well but only time will tell where longevity is concerned, especially based on my recent experiences. Here are the links to both models: https://primulaproducts.com/product/coffee-makers/coffee-accessories/milk-frother/ https://www.kohls.com/product/prd-3355925/primula-milk-frother.jsp?prdPV=16 https://www.target.com/p/bodum-schiuma-milk-frother/-/A-50561233 My channel contains video reviews of products I own & have purchased with my own money. Oster DuraCeramic 6-Cup Rice Cooker: Cooking Oatmeal

Here is the recipe, per serving: 1 cup water 1/3 cup Bob's Red Mill Rolled Oats (Old fashioned or quick cooking) pinch of salt 1/4 cup toasted walnuts (pecans or slivered almonds also work well) 1/4 cup dried cranberries or raisins 2 T. diced, dried apricots Put all ingredients into the cooking pot of the rice cooker. Put on the lid and press the switch to cook cycle. When switch clicks over to the keep warm cycle, oatmeal is done. Stir before serving. Oster Pro 1200 Blender--How to Make Cauliflower Rice

In this video I demonstrate how to make cauliflower rice in my Pro 1200 blender. It's very quick and easy to do! I did forget to mention in the video; DON'T THROW OUT THE WATER USED IN THE BLENDER! Recycle it by using it to water your garden.
